The alliance between Renault and Nissan makes Renault uses the 3.5 liters V6 in several french cars. As Sebony says, they use that engine in the Vel Satis, in the new Espace and that is all I think.
The persons who wrote that probably consider that Nissan belongs to Renault but that does not make that engine French. It is still Japanese
