Yes, that's wrong, french never made a V6 bigger than 3000cm3; Renault took this engin to put it on the VelSatis, and on the Espace.... Need to check to be sure...

 

The engine is Japanese.
The alliance between Renault and Nissan makes Renault uses the 3.5 liters V6 in several french cars. As Sebony says, they use that engine in the Vel Satis, in the new Espace and that is all I think.
The persons who wrote that probably consider that Nissan belongs to Renault but that does not make that engine French. It is still Japanese

The VQ has been made for quite a while before Renault bought controlling interest in Nissan and it is still made in Japan.

 

That Best Motoring bloke called it a French motor too... remember that video trashing the Z in every way, shape, and form?

i hate top gear! They are so biased! Did anyone see the rx-8 one and some other car i forgot..... they were half right but the other half biased with all other cars
