For peace of mind, knowing that your car was broken in properly and not driven like they stole it. Also, the 04s should have a lot of the 03 probs fixed and a new 04 would have more warranty left than a used 03.

SvR350Z, The 26,420 was before Tax and License. I paid 500.00 off MSRP. I also had splash guards and chrome 17's

h2oskier177 or anyone else:

I'm saving like a madman and I might be able to gather exactly $26k to buy a Z. Do you guys think I can walk out with a base coupe (with TTL, destination charges etc,) if I hand them a $26k check? Or will they laugh at me? How about an Enthusiast?

I cant pay what these fools want, its as simple as that.
I called my lazy assed nissan sales rep today so maybe he will call and i can get him to find me a used one.
Thanks jimbrowski
I bought my base model at a good price here in k-town. There are others at Ted Russel and E. Tenn. I would suggest just going in with money in hand and making an offer for MSRP or maybe less.

I am a dealer and here I sell base models for 26,377 enthusiest for 28,150 tourings and perfromance for 2000 off msrp. I discount all z's and sell them all over the country. I do have a bunch of used Z's and they are usually about 5000 off msrp with about 4000-7000 miles on them. If you need help I'd be happy to help or direct you to a dealer that would do the same.

Both of them wanted at least 1k markup above msrp. Then they tried to tell me Msrp was 28k for a base model. No Options.
Reading direct from nissanusa.com i can see that the base is 26.900
They didnt have anything but performance and touring editions.
The performance was 31k but again with markups and dealer addons was over 33k
The salesman straight told me that he wouldnt pay a penny over msrp. Then i ask him why he is trying to sale me one with that markup and he said it was his boss that marked the car up and that he couldnt do anything about it.
He said he wouldnt sale one for a penny under msrp even if he could. So i walked. I told him thanks for being honest because i feel like he was but this is about re damn diculous
It doesnt appear I can win for loosing on trying to buy local.
I dont have any other nissan dealerships that doesnt require traveling 3 to 4 hours.
Thanks again for the good advice and help its appreciated.
Go online and make an offer. Pit them against one another and see if they flinch. I think they will come down or you may get an offer from one of those other dealers that would more than compensate your plane ticket.

PS Check the previous post. See what I mean?
