Did you buy your Z new or used? I ask because I wonder if it may have already had the module previously discussed installed by the previous owner OR in reference to sportbiketed's post, if the previous owner had it disconnected sometime before you purchased it. Can you turn it on with the switch if you want to?
This is interesting... can this be done on a temporary basis AKA could it be easily reconnected or is it more complicated than unplugging a harness somewhere? If the process can be reversed, I'd sure be interested in doing this with my Z. I don't NEED it in the rain, I just don't feel the need to turn it off. Drove a mustang for 4 years with TCS off from day 1.
The only time I ever turned it back on was in the snow one winter and that was a mistake, turned it right back off!
Sorry for my pretty lame questions- when electrical systems are controlling almost every aspect of what should be a mechanical system, I tend to tread very carefully.

I used to have mine on a switch but since I mostly use my Z for drifting now I decided to remove the switch and cap off the wires. ABS delete will be happening in the near future.

Here's the DIY guide on Disabling VDC: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...bling-vdc.html

VDC saved my @ss once during a time attack event, when my rear left shock lost all its oil and the car was very unpredictable. Car slightly swung itself towards the wall midway during a fast right hander and VDC managed to catch it. I switched it on because the car was behaving funny and I'm glad i did.
Otherwise, VDC is off all the way (during track/autox events)

Have owned my Z for about 4 months, yet to turn it off. There is a noticeable difference I am assuming. Just how squirmy is it? I guess I'll find out (sensibly of course)

As soon as she lights my left hand is reaching for th ebutton. I have 20" wheels and I know the first corner will reap the dreaded lack of power if I don't disable.
