behind it there is a hole in wich you can screw the towhook, just like in front just under the license plate...

Hey islandsnow, what color would make a very bright light on the rear of a car?

Under what circumstances do you have to use the rear tow and not the front tow? If it's not important, I'd rather to have a clean look. The car looks imbalanced with the red left "fog light" already.

Sometimes simplicity is the real beauty.

How do you call it in english?? The round hook that you got with the car to get it towed... (if ever necessary).

I also hate the looks of it.

Because of the imbalance if the rear with the different taillight, i'm allready in contact with another member to trade the left lower light. Then i will have a clean look and 2 backup light and he will have his fog lamp.

Regarding the rear fog lap... I would do the opposite... get a right 'red' fog lamp to balance it out.

Doesn't matter... I am looking forward to getting an aftermarket fog light.. I like it !! And think it's a great safety feature.

The problems with 2 foglamps are:

- in the fog people might think that you are hitting the brakes with 2 bright lights on

- 2 foglamps means no backingup lamp and that is a serious problem in a car like the Z (zero rear visibility)

I rather have 2 backingup lamps, because i know i'll be using them a lot more then the foglamp.

Also, the fog lamp is brighter than the brake lights when applied.

My US spec Z here in Germany obviously does not have one, but I don't plan on driving it in foggy conditions, that's why I got a beater car!

I take it you have never have seen the fog in Europe. Those lights save lives. It is brighter than a red light. I can't describe it but it def. saved me a few times from rear ending someone.

Could not agree with you more.. driven in Europe, Asia, and of course US?Aas well as Canada & Mexico... -- those rear fog lamps are a definite plus IHO.....

Just like when F1 mandated brake lights -- so that the following race cars could see what's happening in front of them in rain or mist or fog-like conditions....

i've been driving for about 8 years now, and if i used them 3 times that would be a lot. Most drivers put them on way too fast:

front fog lamps: visibility < 200 meters
rear fog lamps: visibility < 50 meters

if you can see futher than that you are not allowed to put them on.

Sometimes when i drive into some fog and it's busy on the highway cars in front of me put them, like all of a sudden i don't know where they are anymore. As long as i can see the car behind me clearly, i don't put them on because i don't want to blind him!

Especially in Belgium the drivers still have them on even when the fog is gone for more than 5 kilometers (or even the next day)and because they are so bright , i actually find them unsave. Too many drivers have the foglamps on when there is no fog and is almost dangerous then...

Just my opinion,
