Default Dealer Mark Up!

Anyone got their 350Z at MSRP after the Pre-Ordered ones. In Hawaii, there's a ~$5K mark up! Something about a limited allocation for the year .

I just ordered a SS 6MT Enthusiast last Friday for MSRP in So. Cal. and it's supposed to be here early Dec. or maybe even Nov. I hope not later! I've turned down 5 cancelled pre-orders in the last week, and on the only one I discussed price it was MSRP (SS 6MT Touring, Burnt Orange).

Good choice on sticking with the Enthusiast, IMHO it is the best dollar value and I am enjoying the hell out of it without leather, Blose, 18" wheels and VDC.

I agree. IMO the enthusiast is the best value of all the models thus far. Well, my dealer just came down to $30355 for the 6-spd Enthusiast model. I would settle for $30K "out the door". Did not get in the Pre-Order on time

Its funny, I went to get preapproved at a local bank for my enthusiast and the loan guy knew there was a premium on these cars.. He looked in a book and was suprised I was paying sticker. I let him know I was suprised too ! I was expecting to get overcharged at least a grand. Anyway, he noted that the enthusiast model only costs the dealer about 25K. SoI'll argue that EVERY Z has some sort of rediculous markup.

I know that when we bought our Maxima, the dealer made about $400. I guess it all evens out.

Doug,

Good to hear from another Hawaii member. Well, it appears that Tony Nissan will give me the Silver Enthusiast 6-spd model for $30355 "out the door". That's pretty close to MSRP . I'll be giving Tony Nissan a call and see if they will honor this price per my E-Mail conversation with them.

I also found that the Hawaii dealers can't get the accessories that are mentioned on the Nissan website. It has to do with Nissan Hawaii Motor being the middleman .

Anyway, will hook up with you once the deal goes through .
