Why is liquid aluminum so expensive?
I love the new liquid aluminum. But....
Why is this new color $1100 more expensive than the others? Is this new paint more durable and resistant to chips and scratches?
If so, that's a good deal and well worth it. However, I'm afraid that liquid aluminum costs more only because it's the newest flavor of the month. What is the truth?

I beleive it has to do with the application method. sorta like that chameleon paint; but different.
whether its more resistant to chips; or if it has less orange peel. I dont think Ive ever read either way.

Maybe it's just to make you think that it's something really special. After all, it does cost $1100 more than any other color so there must be something to it, right?
From what I've seen of LA, it's not worth it. I saw it and a CS together on the dealers lot on a bright sunny day and all I can say was that LA is lighter or brighter. It didn't look "liquid" or wet as the name implies.

I've seen the LA & CS side by side & could see little difference.
On the other hand if I was a silver car guy, I could see me popping for the extra bucks simply to have something a little different.
When it comes to sports cars its about what floats your boat.

I think it is a rip off. It's just silver. What's so special about that? I think the sunset orange is way better. They should make that a special color. There's alot of import racers painting their cars that color now.

Unless they released LA in Japan. Anyone know?

Here is my car side by side with a Liquid Aluminum in the showroom. Basically Chrome Silver Z's have a black pigment in it and LA doesnt. I personally feel like its not worth the extra $1100. But I am biased. lol
