350z HR just got stolen, chased at 155 and crashed

ACT clutch and lighter flywheel, nothing drivetrain wise.. had like suspension and things nothing to make it go fast lol...was about to get headers and open up the exhaust get her breathing but.. not now i spose
You would have to live here to understand.. car theft like doesnt even exist here.. you would have to grow up in a small new hampshire city to understand the security you can feel here.. people leave doors unlocked here and all kinds of things.. you would also have to understand my driveway is like in my house like every window sees that ****..

That kind of neighborhood is EXACTLY what a thief wants to find. Leaving your car unlocked is kind of stupid. Leaving the keys in there is asking to have your stuff jacked.
My car sits in a garage with a coded main door and a side door with 3 locks on it. I have a state trooper 4 houses to my left and a sheriff a block to my right. And I still lock my car and keep my keys next to my bed.
Sucks that your Z got trashed, but I'm having a hard time feeling bad for you.

hahah not looking for sympathy dudes just a good read i guess.. lol.. wish i had a garage and i think everybody is lying to themselves to say that they have never left there car vulnerable for a short period of time

OT, Even in Hawaii, officers aren't allowed to chase people down. A few years back officers had been chasing a car with a family inside. The chase ended with the car crashing and killing everyone inside. Since then, the orders have been not to chase vehicles. There may be some exceptions

^ This guy. Here in Indiana there are very few cars which can exceed 150. I only know of one and he's not even a trooper anymore. He actually got caught in a case of chasing a motorcycle down through my town and causing them to go faster and faster until they eventually wrecked. The family of the rider ended up suing the trooper for pushing the rider further. Thus resulting in a new state law, Troopers are not allowed to chase a rider for more than a mile. Also ended up in the state cutting back on their faster cars.

Drunk guy with two passengers in his BMW 6-Series takes off after officer turns on his lights. Officer doesn't pursue yet the drunk continues to floor it until he slams into cement divider, killing one passenger and critically injuring the other. Leave car and tries to flee on foot. Sorry to hear OP. Luckily for me i have the injen true dual + test pipe alarm system. No one would be able to start my car up and drive it away without me noticing. They'd have to push the b!tch a quarter mile down the block first.

Dang, that's crazy. Guess this is a lesson learned! I always make sure to keep my car locked, and when possible I park it in the garage. I also live in a pretty safe area, but I would rather not chance it. Hope everything works out OP.
I'm not implying anything by this but the replies reminded me of this. I used to have a friend that leased a Ford Ranger. While owning it he went way overboard on the mileage taking it on road trips and so on. When he decided he didn't want to pay on it anymore, he tried to take it back and the car lot stuck it to him. So being the "genius" he is, he takes a girl to the movies. Then has his friend come over with a spare key, and takes the truck out into the middle of no where. He reports it stolen, the next day they go out to where it is and shoot it full of bullets. Took them almost a month to find it. They suspected he had something to do with it but never was able to prove it.

Actually, I'll bring it over to a girl's house.. Go to a movie, and have my friend with the spare key and let him hide it.. Then report it stolen! Then I'll have to commit VIN fraud. Maybe try to get that Nismo 0000 number. lol
