Ugh I know dont remind me

I'm just glad I'm back in school now -- NOW i have garaged parking once more. Baby Z will be protected from this damn weather at least partially!

But yeah I'm seriously just counting these last 2 weeks or so of Jan, then once we're through February hopefully it will get a little better. Who knows with all the global warming and crazy weather. I remember like two weekends ago it was 70 around here! Then the next day it was about 5 degrees out the next morning...

I was driving to PA this weekend on I 380. It was around 11pm and the temp display showed -7 degrees!!! THe next morning, it was 6 degrees on the display. I let the car warm up a bit (until the temp gauge started to move up...that took a while!) and then backed out of the driveway. The rear end didn't like that and was very stiff. I just made sure I drove about 5 mph for the first 1/4 mile or so until the rear end warmed up and stopped making noises. I also had some problems getting the car into first, reverse and shifting into second. After the car was driven a bit and warmed up fully, everything was fine. From now on, I am going to try and keep the G in the driveway when it is REALLY cold!!

Now that it has been cold and snowy out, there is a lot of salt/sand on the road. Does anyone else notice how much sand the back tires on the Z pick up and fling into the wheel well?? It is almost like I am getting attacked by a sand blaster!

Oh yeah, be easy on the throttle when it is 12 F out, the tires don't like to stick very well

That is very very bad for your rear when it isnt warmed up. And it takes a LONG time for your rear to warm up in this weather
I was just playin' around. When it's cold though, my tires let loose a bit around every turn. It's partially that they're cold and partially that the roads by my house are ****. I never really bring the car over 4k till it's warm and I never run at WOT. I just make alot of noise sliding all over the neighborhood.

I could really care less about the COLD. I just have my fingers crossed that there is no SNOW and ICE on the East Coast come mid February... I'm taking the Z (or the 89 Jeepo Cherokee, if it snows, the Mardi Gras...)

I want Sooo bad to get it out of the garage again and drive it a few thousand miles in WARM weather!!!

NO SNOW, NO SNOW, NO SNOW.....
