Considering that mine has spent more of its life on lifts and jack stands it still feels new.

this seems more appropriate as a post rather than a thread

Default Just in time to put away

My Z got nailed by hail storm in July, took 6 weeks to get it into the body shop, been there for a month now- $7,000 damage, small dents removed with dentless paint repair company, then over to the other side of the body shop for hood and roof replacement. I should be getting it this weekend...and the forecast for thursday night is -1 degree. So I'll be getting it back just in time to cover her up!

I have had mine for 6 years, and I must say, the car hasn't aged as far as exterior design. People don't see it as an old car. If the interior was a bit more pleasing, I wouldn't complain at all. However I have yet to find a reason to sell it. It has been super reliable, and I drive it all year around. Nothing it can't handle with a good set of winter tires.

-1º C? That's not so bad. The tires will be cold and lumpy, but you can still drive it.

It'll be like a brand new car when you get to uncover it after winter.

I left my 04 z in the road one night and my security guard wrote me a warning and put the year of the car as 2010 on the ticket. So even to the untrained eye, those people think it's a newer car! I took the warning as a compliment

I stored my Z away last winter and had top drive a Paseo FML , but my buddy had so much much with his G35. He had some really aggressive winter tires and had alot of fun...

kind of makes me wanna winter drive her, has anyone else thought about this too?

Winter tires are a good solution but it's the salty roads that stops me. I'll be putting mine in storage here pretty soon as well. Back to the Mercury Cougar for the winter : (
