So .. I ran over a raccoon last night on the turnpike going about 75. Looked at it today again and it looks worse than I first thought.
Here are some pics (pls excuse the dead bugs and the dirty filter >.> .. and the iphone pics)

Full coverage?
A fox decided to commit suicide via my bumper the other day, All I got was a cracked bumper and torn up undercarriage plastic though. Regardless, I know how bad it sucks. Good luck man.

Depends on how handy(DIY)and creative you are.Of course, one option is to
replace the entire bumper. That would be the "best" way.But you mentioned
"cheapest".That brings us back to my first sentence. The grille section is
shot. Its not removable. You could cut it out rather easily. From you
photos it appears that the bumper itself is intact.Only the center section
is damaged.Don't think you can push this back out and it being in good shape.
An option that I'd look at(I'm a DIY'er)is to cut out the damaged center section.
Build some supports to replace the section you cut out.Buy a CF cover for
the center section.Build up a surface on the supports that will allow you to
attach the CF overlay cover. It may be possible to push out the damage cut around
the areas that "stick out" and install the CF over your repaired area.
