I drove it back to work at about 5 pm stared at it for like 2 hours. It was weird at first, going from a miata to a z, but it didn't take long to get used to. Then I took it through the canyons and had my way with her. Got back home stared at her some more the went to sleep waking up every 5 minutes to check if my baby was still there lol

My first day was last night.

Bought it, couldn't drive it so friend came out. It was raining and wet as hell. Took it to a parking lot and practiced at 10pm. My weak *** legs were terrible at using the clutch. So he took it home and I drove his car. He dropped it off today. I also lost registration and insurance docs for my 350z and my Altima somewhere around the dealership so today I spent 4 hours getting new ones. Came on here, asked for advice about dealing with my weak *** legs. A few members pointed me towards the RJM clutch pedal....now I am staring at it from the balcony drooling.

Nothing dramatic, paid for it and drove home. Faintly remember it, happened back in 2/2005.

I got mine, and finally left the "STEALership" around 10pm. I had work at 8am. So I drove around till like 1am and just enjoyed it. Then put her away and didnt see her for 3 more days. I didnt want to seem needy.

First night I brought it home? Got gas because the previous owner didn't put in any lol. Also put air in the front tires because pressure was low.

Second day aka first full day:
-Took it to school *college*
-Got to show it off to my friends lol
-Took it home, washed it *previous owner had it sitting for like a year*, waxed, vacuumed, removed a sticker it had on it

And thats all haha

I had been learning stick on my buddy's beetle weeks before. I bought my Z and drove it to work, about 10 miles. Summer time, windows down, and really got on it. Great new car feel.

My story is probably a lot different than normal, being a track only car that isn't street registerable.

The only time my car has actually been at my house was the night before my first track day in the car, about 3 months after I actually bought it. It lives at the race shop that I work at part time, where the car was built. It was dark when I got home, and I had cleaned it before it got loaded on the trailer. My big issue was figuring out exactly where to park the van and trailer without beign too much in the way of everything.

The following morning, I drove the car for the first time at anything over 30 MPH in an empty parking lot. I did baby it for the first track session, basically just making sure that everything was going to hold together on it. I was amazed at how quickly I adapted to the car, and though there were some minor teething issues, and I still have a ways to go before I'm driving the car fast, the first 3 track days can all be called successful.

I'm the only Z here, everyone else buys German and there is a red Zenki G35 Automatic Coupe here. By New Years everyone knew who the fastest car was.

I remember my first day vividly, my brother was dealing with Nissan dealership and I was working. I had wanted a Black STi with gold BBS wheels, but the price was ridiculous high. After asking me on colors and options for an hour then it was done and I waited 20 minutes to arrive. On a semi-cold day on Nov. 10, 2004, I could see Xenon light from a distance, I knew that was my car. Then when I got to the car, I just drove around half a mile on my subdivision street loop because I want to enjoy my mileage, not waste on driving nowhere. I remember the new car smell outside, and inside which I still have right now. I also remember when I got my wheels and the first day driving it at around 4pm on a clear, 0% humidity day, I drove looking for corners. I also remember putting '06 taillights, I did it myself and it was a very cold rainy day, I didn't drive it until it was a clear day. The only thing I don't remember is when I got my S2k antenna, pretty much I love my Z to death.

The Z was way different than the Accord that I learned stick on so it felt like I was starting all over again. My salesman had to give me lessons while I was test driving it

Anyways, after being at the dealership for about 10 hours and having to drive for an hour back to town being a noob stick driver in the rain, all I wanted to do was knocked out, which was exactly what I did...

I had a Chevy Cruze stick before I bought my Z. Lets just say I wasn't prepared when I decided to drop the clutch.
