Default just got my first 350z

ok i just got my first Z. it a 2004 performance package. i love it so far its great. i came from a wrx sti that i had for the logest. and i like the Z much more because it has no lag in low RPMs. now i do plan on going boost and want to make my own kit because i feel its cheaper and you can get better parts in the long run. now what are common problems with these cars? i have 65k right now. just installed new clutch. do they make cobb acessports for 350z? i love to tune with these just because its much easier. any info would help out alot.

Did you upgrade your pivot ball with the clutch? I just snapped mine at 62k

As for tuning, I think there is plenty of self tuning software. I'm planning on going Uprev myself.

I wanted a Sti before buying the z for a nice mostly practical north eastern car. But, found my Z for a much cheaper price than any Sti around here.

Good luck with it and let's see pics.

U-P-R-E-V....this isn't a STI, forget about Cobb. If you have a good person to Fab and bend pipes, and are willing to crash course on all tech aspects need to boost...Then Fab boost away! Prepare for problems, and a wise idea, would be to have a DD while transitioning to a self made boost kit

I second on the uprev tune. That is what I got on my 07 z and it is nice. Little bit more than accesport.

As far as boost I would go with supercharger. I do like turbos but unless you going to rebuild your engine with stronger internals you are only going to be able to run low boost levels. Supercharger also is more dependable and if you want more power you can just change the belt. Also a lot cheaper than turbo kit, and you will increase low end torque and power will be smooth through out rpms. You get no lag with supercharger. Instant go.

Come on guys... Reading comprehension FTL!

He has 65,000 miles on the car, not $65k in the bank.
