Default Need advice on 06 Z with OC

So after going through 2 oil changes it's official I have the dreaded oil consumption and wanted to get other peoples opinions on what to do / what you did about this scenario.

I was most likely going to turn the car back to stock and sell it to a dealer since I doubt anyone wants a Z with OC, and buy an 08 Z or Mitsubishi Evo.

I've never had good luck with Carmax but I guess it's worth a shot.

Just keep adding oil unless your engine is knocking.

Go FI Build the motor... Your going to take a hit if you get rid of the car now.. If your going to get another Z anyways. Or NA built motor with some spray...

I don't have that much money to spend right now (built motor and FI) would be about 15k minimal. Yea I'd defiantly take a hit but could get the HR engine and swap the majority of my stuff over to that.

Yeah let's spend unnecessary gobs amount of money on an already weak sauce motor.

I know I have oil consumption when I change my oil and only 1 or 2 quarts come out / my oil light comes on because of no oil in the engine.

I'm going back and forth on what I want do right now. The Pro's and Con's of all 3 cars are all so different. Realistically its either 350Z OR STI/EVO (paired)

How often do you change your oil? Do you ever check your oil level between changes? Do you wait until your light comes on before you do something? Driving with little oil in your engine could be the cause of your oil consumption.

I would take it to a Nissan dealer and see if they will work with you, maybe set up a payment plan that works. It won't cost 15K if you're looking to only fix the problem. You can get another whole Z for 15K. Another option is you could buy a Japanese crate engine from someplace like JDM for about 3K. You can then slowly work your original engine as someone suggested. In any case, I'm sure one of the other posters was being facetious; to turn around and try to hide the problem and sell it to someone unknowing is outright disgusting and something only an unrespectable dirtbag would do.

I didn't do a forum search but a good thread would be how other owners in your position handled the problem. Good luck.

Why is everyone bitching about OC? Did you know factory specs say a porches normally consumes 1 at every 600 miles? And did you know almost every car consumes oil?
