The New Radar Detector For My 350Z!
TXSTYLE...
Escort owns Bel (bought them out recently). I have seen many reports on both 8500 and V1. It's a difference of boggy indicator and a few other small things. For the price and performance I'll still with my 8500.
The above combination is by far the BEST protection you can get. VERY awesome combo!

Reading the V1 site it mentions that 50% of the laser detection ability is lost due to the window. Why don't they, and all these detectors offer a remote mounted sensor you could put in the grille to increase the range of detection?

The range of a detector mouted high on the windshield is much greater than one mounted in the grille, especially in a car as low as the Z. It can "see" further over hills, other cars, etc.
