Sure, most of you probably know this and I will feel stupid that I did not know, but here it is.

You know the compartment with the two cup holders are, where you rest your elbow when holding the shfter sometimes. Well in my early model 04 my elbow kept pressing the button and it woudl not stop opening up on me! Very annoying.

Well in my later model 04. I noticed that they made the door to the compartment raised up a little bit. My elbow can no longer open it!

Haha well most of you probably don't care but I find it to be a great addition because it did bother me.

Just thought I'd post since I had never seen anyone talk about it before.

actually i do the same thing, i have an early '04 though so it keeps popping open!!!

 

i have a 2004 and my solution to keeping it from opening is to keep it open

 

Yeah, sounds like your newer 04 has got the thicker slightly padded door. Mine doesn't have it (very early 04), but I've seen it in Japan and at the dealer.

 

Not padded, they raised the compartment door up all together. Or made it thicker.

 

Yes it's higher...
