Default Anyone else notice the familiar sound of the key chime?

Having owned several Honda vehicles before, I can't help but notice how the chime warning you that the keys are still in the ignition of a 350Z has the same sound as the same chime in a Honda Accord. Same tone, same number of chimes and speed. I'd think Honda has some kind of trademark or patent on the sound.

I can only speak for the year model 350Z I have, an '06. Does the chime sound the same in all year models?

Pro tip:

Honda's 4 short beeps is Morse code for the letter H.

im fairly certain all cars of the same nationality use the same notes for horns, so i would assume this true for the "dings" for the keys in the ignition.

I have noticed. A while ago, a friend owned a '89 Prelude, with the same chime. I'm not a fan of it. I have thought of disconnecting it, if possible.

Honda was one of the first companies to use that chime in japan, everyone followed suit.
