I almost fell out of my car as I passed my dealer to see a Chrome Silver "Z" being offloaded.. I said, I wonder if it's ine.. I took a look and low & behold, it was my VIN! T001890! I really have to thank the lady at DAS,Inc. in Elizabeth, NJ. After she confirmed that my car was offloaded on Sept 9th, I Had explained I was waiting over 7 months and she said she would try to get it on the first carrier in my direction... Wow.. she did it..

Now for some interesting facts.. These was a paper on the dash with the following information...

Delivered 9/9/02
Off loaded 16:07:05 which is 4:07 PM on 9/9/02
Vessel: Ocean Spirit
Manifest 159991

Asigned 8/13/02
Due date 10/1/02
Build date 7/31/02

I also explained to the sales manager that i DO NOT want the front license plate bracket installed.. They should just give it to me.. He said no problem..

So, I said I'll pick it up on Tuesday and he said fine...

A bunch of us have been waiting over seven months. Should we all call DAS to try to get priority delivery? I don't think that would be appropriate. Anyway, congrats on getting yours.

Funny, your VIN is 1890 and mine is 1980, mine arrived at the dealer today on LI, NY. Chrome Silver too.

To Those still waiting who want to know the status of there car, It can't hurt to call DAS at the port of entry where your car is due in. They were very helpful and understood the frustration of the 7+ month wait. I would call in person and not e-mail them. I always found it's better to talkt to a person in person.. If you go to there web site, the local phone numbers are listed..

I'm going to call the lady at DAS in Elizabeth, NJ and thank her for her help..

By the way, my car still has not showed up on my dealers Inventory!! That's really funny..

The car is a Chrome Silver Touring model with Frost interior.. Really looks great and the interior looks much better that I thought..

By the way, I just spoke to my Insurance company and was quoter about $1600 per year with $100 deductable and full glass coverage.. They didn't have the car in there computer system yet.. Really funny..
