Default I've had my 350z for 5 months now..

And every time I get out to walk away I turn back and look at it I still get a smile, I mean every now and than I do wish I would've went with a truck or a V8 but I'll deal with that once this is paid off because I'm pretty sure I'm keeping this till the motor blows and after.

I've had cars I had no qualms parting with. But everytime I think about moving to something with more power I back out.

I don't care if it isn't the newest or fastest car on the road, it is just too much fun to drive.

My pre-order '03 track has been with me for ten years and I know exactly what you mean. People still are amazed at how cool and fresh the Z looks. My standard comment is: "It drives better than it looks."

A Z,is that kinda car.A 350,that is.Having owned tons of cars over the year,only
a handful has the "staying power" of our Z.As commented in another post,I too
pre-ordered my 03 Touring.After 10 years,albeit I've changed the look,I get a
rush each time I see it.If I had to pick one comment
I get about my Z,its,"I can't believe
its 10yrs old"!For sure,a lot has to do with how it drives, the sound.
But,IMO a car has to look good.Look good from every angle. The design is quite
timeless in my book. With the 370,the task to refine the design just did not
work.
It usually does not.
Enjoy,and keep smiling.
There are many that are just like you!

Great color,your Z!

I have to completely agree with you. The 350z is timeless and the 370 did turn out awful. Also, that color is awesome!

Well if you plan on keeping it a long time and until motor blows, why not do the lsx motor swap and you can have your V8 sports car. That is my plan or rebuild original motor with better block and internals and go turbo route.

What brought me to the Z was it's potential and endless variation of mods. IMO, Stock, the 350z looks a bit too bubbly shaped like an older audi TT. But with a drop, wheels, & body kit, this car can transform quickly into a beast!

Thanks a lot guys! that's what sold me on my z was the color. And so far as for plans when this motor goes I've been looking at an ls1 or ls2 swap but I'm not the most mechanical person so I'm trying to learn up on that now. I'm not to worried I'm hoping I'm gonna squeeze another 150,000 on this motor.

My wife said she was cool with me trading in my 350Z for a 370Z.....If I trade in the 350.

That was 3 years ago and I'm still driving the 350.

I've had mine almost 6 years and I still can't imagine getting rid of her. I used to always get bored with cars very quickly. I couldn't even see getting a 370.

I've had mine for over 8 years. It still makes me smile, even when the drive is just to the grocery store. I've never kept a car this long.

I could not agree with you more.If you have a terrific base design, upgrades
if done correctly can enhance the design.I had my 03 Touring for about 7 yrs
before I decided to tweak the body.Like a lot of guys, one day you walk out
and something hits you.The major thing that got "old" was the OEM wheels.
I planned the overall look I wanted in the upgrade. The wheels had to be right.
I agree with the comparison to the original Audi TT.Nissan was influenced
by this design.My goal was a Euro-Supercar look.Ferrari,Lamborghini,Mclaren,
Pagani and others.Since my car is a Silverstone color,CF was natural for body
mods.I stayed away from the trend for black wheels.A mesh alloy design
was widely used by the cars I mentioned.
We Z owners get addicted. At least I have.

I bought a 350z in 2003, and 10 years later still drive the car as my DD.

I can easily afford more car, but cannot imagine what I would buy that could replace my Z. The 350z is an adult "go-cart" that out-handles anything I have driven. --Spike

Forgot to mention that I bought my 05 at the end of 2004, so when I decided not to get the 370Z the 350 was already ~5 years old.

I give every post in this thread a giant +1. I've had mine 5 years and I still look back at the car every time I walk away from it. By far this is the most rewarding vehicle I have ever owned. Back when I started selling Nissans 10 years ago, right next to my desk in the showroom was a beautiful 2003 Touring Z. The first time I sat in it I vowed to own one....and the rest is history.

You probably do not own an HR equipped Z then.
