Default Miles per full tank of gas?

Hello everyone,

I was curious to see how many miles you all get for a full tank of gas?
Also, when does DTE come on? How many gallons is usually left?

You have a 20 gallon tank, all lights seem come on a different times. 500 miles is possible, been done by many.

"Your actual mileage may vary" - that classic statement applies here.

Light comes on when there are approx 2 gallons left.

I think this question has been asked before.I'd do a search.
But anyway...miles you get on a tank is gonna greatly vary.
Don't think thats a question that you are going to get a accurate answer.
I'd use a average of 20mpg in my Z.
On your inquiry about whats left in the tank after the fuel light
comes on,Nissan and other manufacturers know that most owners are
not too bright when it comes to listening to advice.Or,in this case
taking the almost-out-of-gas light seriously. So instead of these owners
getting angry and maybe walking for miles due to being out of gas, they
added a little wiggle room.Yeah, they are playing a bit of a trick, but it
sure is better than walking. In my experience, you got close to 50 miles left
in the tank until you got to walk.

I can get over 400 miles to a tank when cruising on the freeway, like going to Zdayz. But for putzing around town and stuff, I rarely get 300 miles to the tank.

When my light comes on, I probably can fill up about 16 gallons. I've pushed it to where my DTE / range calculator blanked, and I got to gas station and only was able to fill up close to 17 gallons.

not the computer, it's the level gauges in the tank. check the Repair and Maint forum

I got just over 400 before I filled up the other day and the gas light had started to come on telling me I had about 50 miles remaining (I have a weird OCD thing about not letting my gas light come on, so I was upset about it for reasons I can't explain).

That was not particularly easy driving, either. Lots of rush hour idling and late night fun on the interchange ramp that merges into the left lane.

I've gotten 340 with the light on, and DTE gauge just showing ----. This was all city driving, and when I filled up directly after hitting the dashes (it went from 10 to empty to the dashes), it took a hair over 17 gallons. On the highway, I've hit around 430 miles before without filling. Can't remember the exact amount left in the tank, but the gauge, however accurate it may be, said 27 miles per gallon.

Seriously? I'm on my second 350Z and I have yet to see a DTE higher than 380. I should really reevaluate my driving style.
