Default Turbo 350z Fender Bender. . . Literally

I added the turbo for no other reason than people will be more interested.(well I am turbo)

Guy ran a red light and hit my front end. He is being cited with 3 citations: leaving scene of an accident, running a red light, and no license. Owner of the other car is being cited with allowing an unlicensed operator to drive.

Pictures speak for damage.

I have coverage, so does he. I filed with both companies and going to get estimated from both. I will collect from whoever will pay me more.

He claimed he didn't have his license on him so I stated that I was going to call the police.

He stated he had it at his house(which was a mile from mine) so I followed him home and then he hid in his house.

His wife told me to use her license and say she was driving becuase now he claimed he didn't have a license at all.

I called the police and since he refused to come down they are issuing the citation for leaving the scene of an accident.

She also tried to claim that she WAS the driver when in fact she wasn't even in the car.

The officer clearly knew she wasn't the driver and threatened to tow her car.

I went back to the station and identified the driver(picture) from the information she gave him(which surprisingly was real). The officer was not too happy with them and they are definately going to get screwed

Use his insurance. End of story. I never would have allowed him to leave the scene, always take pictures and wait for cops to show up

I insure my own car, my rate will not increase. I've been an agent in MA for 10 years. The bumper has been on for only a couple weeks. Haven't figured out where I want to get it painted yet.

Yes, if not your fault you insurance will not rise, it's not your fault. My insurance went after the other guy, which had none and my insurance did not rise at all. That of course was back in 1987. So sounds like things are still the same. Boy some people sure want to lie so quick, I have a feeling they will answer to that also.

Not true. Your insurance will rise if they have to pay out at all. Doesn't matter who is at fault.

Prime example, getting hit my an uninsured driver with a car that is uninsured. Your insurance will pay for the damage, but it will increase your rates.

They will of course go after his insurance since it is his fault, but if something were to happen and your insurance is paying out, get ready for higher rates.
