Default To all Northeast Z owners

Do you guys notice that the car drives so much stiffer here in the cold. I mean the last few days, its been the roughest ride I have ever had and I have had this car for about 14 months now. It also doesn't help out that I can't hear my passenger when they talk to me because my tires are louder. This real stiff ride has started sooooo many new rattles in the car. I am really starting to hate this car I have migrain headaches and this really causes them whenever the car drvies this stiff. It wasn't this stiff in the summer????

Just think of your Zcar being a bit like us. Whenever itis really cold we start to find we have aches and pains that either we didn't know about or had forgotten we had.
We're stiff and it takes us longer to loosen up.
The "doctor" suggests that you take the "patient" on a long drive to a warmer climate, like Florida, and don't return until Spring.
All kidding aside, this cold spell we have been suffering through has got to make all parts of our Zcars stiff and more brittle, perhaps letting it warm up a little longer will help. Make sure to avoid those craters they call "pot holes" or you baby will be spending time in the "ER" recovering from some nasty injuries.
Mine has been in the garage for most of the past 2 weeks.

Hey Bronx,
Glad to see you are surviving the winter. DUKE350Z is still tucked away from the cold and I haven't sold him yet. We'll see what the next couple of months bring.

Yeah, the damn plastic dash creaks and clicks over every bump when it's cold ... gets a little better when it warms up though. C'mon spring!!!

yes, i noticed it but it's because of the COLD weather=)...my theory on the "more creeks and clicking sounds" because of the condensation build up inbetween the plastics of our interior. As we leave the car from WARM to FREEZE COLD air i believe it freezes the "joints(frozen mircro condensation)" and when we start driving, as stiff as are car may be, the supspension will make the "joints" break....making the clickity clack sounds! so i'm fairly confident...very confident when the weather gets warmer...you won't hear a thing=)

My stock 17s has a jarring ride. 18s must be worse. The Michelin pilots A/S slips easy when its really cold out. But its quiet compared to the OEMs. The suspension is very stiff. I tried putting all my lbs on the rear and bouncing. Just a slight movement.
Cant wait for spring! All this cold, snow, ice, salt really sucks!

yea the tires are meant for warm weather...so in the cold they harden up alot which could be a reason... and they loose traction alot more... my slip light blinks all the time

creaks and more creaks, but that is expected. just a bit stiffer, but my biggest problem was the PSI alarm going crazy one morning when it was like 8 degrees, other than that it has been fairly ok.

yeah, all the noises from cold weather give me headache too. and I also start hating my GHL exhaust because of it's annoying loud sound at low RPMs.
