I just spoke with the local nissan dealer. unfortunately they said that the bumpers nor the kits are not available as a replacement part, unless you are the actual owner of the car.

so, does anyone thinking of making replica bumpers.

I am referring to the thing that is not covered by the engine cover that sits at the back ... you know where the intake is connected to.

It is black in the picture where it is normally aluminum in our cars ... anyway a guy over at a G35 forum heard about a "plastic plenum" being developed, so I thought "MAYBE" the plenum in the picture is also a "plastic plenum".

Who knows, maybe they just painted the plenum black. If you know what the plenum in the picture above is made of, please do tell me.

I'm not too sure what material the black plenum is made from, but I think it's the same material as the original factory plenum but sprayed with a black resin.

Thanks for the G35 post, I never knew they were trying to develop a plastic plenum. Don't get me wrong I'm wasn't trying to question your knowledge of knowing what a plenum is, I was just confused by the plastic plenum. IMO I don't think or believe a plastic plenum will work unless it's being R&Ded by top racing development companys.

the intake pipe coming out of the S1 engine .... is it just larger with a nismo air filter? wouldnt the r-tune CAI be better.

and also the torque according to the #'s in the news section is 268 why is it lower than stock?
hi,

the intake pipe, according to the spec sheet, is bigger than std model, with carbonfibre air duct and S-tune air filter. I'd say this is a lot better than that of the $30000 car.

As far as I know they don't have the "nismo R-tune" for Z yet.

The torque is 363 Nm according to the catalogue, which is the same as the std model.

I was hoping that the plenum was something special, but upon closer inspection of the pic that Mc350Z posted, it looks like you are right and the black plenum is just a "paint job".

Thanks for the correction though.

Got the catalogue from Nismo last week.
It was only 4 pages long (1 sheet).

Guess they are not so aggressive in selling this vehicle.

Anyone know where to get those step-panel things (silver) that have the nismo logo? I don't know what the heck they are called, but I like em.

Would anyone even think about getting this instead of a new Z06?
