Default Nissan Approved Leather

Anyone on here have the aftermarket "Nissan Approved" leather installed in their Z? If so, do you have pics?

There are leather seats approved by nissan that have the nissan logo sewn into the backs that can be installed by nissan dealers on 305Zs that don't come with leather as an option (i.e. all others but Tourings). Most dealers charge around $900 for this. The seats supposedly look very close to stock, but the material is softer. I'm looking for different pics of these seats.

You posted this question twice. I'll post my answer again here.

I think the dealer might be pulling your leg. Nissan approved? Ask them if Nissan makes it, or if they're getting it from an aftermarket company.

My car arrives the first week of March and the dealer will be installing aftermarket leather using Classic Soft Trim. I have a co-worker who just had leather installed by CST in her Enthusiast Roadster and it looks and feels great.

I posted the question again here because no one was giving me an answer. The dealer isn't pulling my leg because he showed me the seats... they are approved by Nissan and use the Nissan logo. It's just not stock, it dealer installed... Nissan doesn't make it, I'm not sure who does. But Nissan has officially approved the leather for the Z.

Well, if the dealer showed you the seats he should be able tell you who did the install. It may be Classic Soft Trim or Katzkin.

Yes, there is a "Nissan Approved Leather" kit that is a dealer only option. The Nissan Emblem is stamped into the leather on the back of the seat.

It only comes in the same colors as the leather for the Touring model. Very close to the factory leather on the Touring. I paid $749 for mine. Most dealers quoted me $850 to $900, but one quoted me $1300. Sorry but I don't have any pics. You will not notice in difference between this and the factory leather on the touring.

The Nissan "approved" leather is from Classis Soft Trim. You can only get the approved package thru a dealer. If you get it directly from a CST installer, it will be identical except for the Nissan stamp on the back.

I'm getting a CST custom leather installed this Friday. I didn't like the color combinations offered with the "approved" packages, not to mention the $900 price tag.

Yep, Classic is IT. Coincidentally, my neighbor owns an shop and is a Classic soft Authorized dealer. He sells them for $650. And in any possible color combination you could dream of.

here is the "Data sheet" and their sample swatches ...

It's called Pumpkin and is a perfect match for the factory orange leather.

I got the dealer leather from soft trim for $700. It looks factoryish but isn't perforated.
