New to the forum, 35th Anniversary Edition, Black Automatic
Hi Guys, I am new to the website and forum.
I acquired a 2005 35th AE in Ultra Black about a year ago. It had 116K, the dealer did not know what he had and I stole it for $12.5, I have had allot of work done on it over the last year, (so, less of a deal than I thought) new rotors & pads, shocks, tires, new valve cover, new oil pressor sensor, new radiator and fan assembly, K&N Air filter, the plastic nose had allot of road abuse but looks sweet as hell with the factory bra, nose guard I put on it. it's near perfect now, and I freakin' LOVE IT! Its a fantastic drive!
As I understand that only 259 were made in back... Does anyone know how may of those were automatics with the semi-automatic shifty thing? It's a rare car.
I am an amputee (left foot and ankle) from a motorcycle accident in 2001, so I actually am thrilled to have the automatic with the manual shift mode, which i use pretty often, especially for downshifting. I work as a music composer for network television and truly appreciate the Bose 7 Speaker set up for pleasure and checking my own mixes. The car had an Alpine deck wit Aux input for my phone when I bought it and it sounds freakin' killer. No Nav. package which is fine with me since rely on my phone and siri anyway. It has the 35th AV floor mats, and all the appropriate features and trim including the back with tan heated leather seats. knock on wood... the engine and transmission are in excellent condition. Nicest most fun car I have EVER OWNED! Midlife crisis accomplished! I'm single and have no kids, so the car made perfect sense to me. lol

05 35th anniversary owner.
Silverstone
Just rolled over 78k miles
Second owner
Manual transmission
Black on black interior.
Leather with orange stitching
Base audio system
Power everything
Brembo brakes
Mods:
Very minimal at the moment.
Redline transmission and differential fluid swap.
Super blue clutch and break fluid swap.
Custom 19" wheels and nitto neogen tires.
I plan on doing good and few more things but nothing major. Engine runs fantastic and until I need a rebuild I won't over modify it.
JWT HD clutch kit and lightweight flywheel.
Problems:
Not much to speak of. Had heard that oil consumption is a big issue with the DE rev up motor but mine consumes very little. About a half quart for my first 3k of ownership.
That's all I can think of for now. Nice thread. Can't believe there were only 5000 made. I love mine!!!

It also needs front and rear facia.
This won't be cheap to have corrected.

CAR: 2005 35 AE, Canadian car
MILEAGE: 64,000 KM/40,000 Miles
ACQUIRED: Private sale via Kijiji June 2017
PRICE PAID: High end of KBB valuation
OPTIONS: Everything, including Navigation
TRANS: Manual
EXT: Super Black
INT: Black leather seats w/tan inserts
MODS: None; Absolutely 100% stock
ISSUES: Occasional front end sqeak, clutch pedal won’t return fully when very hot.
PLEASANT SURPRISES: Everything on the car works, and it’s very complete. Even have the 35 AE floor mats; VERY few scratches/paint chips on interior and door panels. No tears, cracks, stains, on leather seats; engine doesn’t seem to burn oil, running 100% synthetic to boot. Drives like a new car. The car was very well taken care of by the previous owners.
FUTURE PLANS: Would like to replace all the fluids, but I won’t be upgrading any of the mechanicals.

Anniversary Edition
Hey y’all new here. May have double posted on accident please forgive me if I did.
LOCATION: Houston Tx
MODEL: 2005
MILES: 24,200
PRICE/DEALER: $17,500 Private party 1 family owned, I am 3rd owner
COLOR: Ultra Yellow Metallic
INTERIOR: Black Leather
TRANS: 6 M/T
ENGINE: VQ35DE
FEATURES/OPTIONS: Everything except Navigation
MODS: High Flow Cats, Megnaflow performance cat back exhaust, UpRev Osiris tuning.
ISSUES/PROBLEMS: None
FIXES FOR ISSUES: None
Car has been stored under a waterproof Nissan 350z cover from the dealer ship in a climate controlled garage it’s entire life until I purchased January 2022. Original tires were put on for sale. I have since put rears on. Wiper arms had been removed and car was never driven in rain. Wheels off detail after every drive. I bought from an older retired guy that had purchased it from his brother in law who ordered new. I purchased it with 19,088 miles and have been across the country twice. Still has new car smell even. I love driving it.
