Your so called limit as well as your cars will grow with patience, practice and time. As you get more comfortable with the car you'll start to find it easier to brake a little later and take those corners faster ( pushing your limit farther and farther) until eventually you'll hit the cars "limit".... Then the modifying begins and you and the car will grow together (but not in a gay way though).Finding out where yours is first is key because it tells you how far you can push before you hit the" Ok lemme stop before I kill myself " point which is always good to know
That's exactly it Im scared of taking a turn so sharp and fast that the tail will slip from under me and I crash into a ditch, Guess I need to sign up to a auto cross place and learn my limits and my baby's and get some tips along the way.

My Base was pretty easy to drive with the OEM open rear diff. I couldn't get that car sideways for more than 40 feet, and believe me I was trying. I put in the NISMO LSD and its a whole different ball game. Try it, go for some function over form... Do some mods that will make your "beast" a true BEAST.

next time, hit multiquote (the one that looks like a printer) and then select all the ones you want to respond to

I had the same feeling as OP's when I first got my car soo I did a few track days. I learned that my Z could handle turns a lot quicker which impressed me a lot. But of course this goes along with a thinking driver- continuously judging the car's behavior, road condition, etc. Confidence alone is not enough.

DavidV gave the best advise - go out and track/autox that biatch.

Without reading all 3 pages, get your azz to the track where you can find out the limits. And don't even think about approaching those limits on the open road. It is all feel, not actual speed.

If you are scared of taking a turn too sharply and crashing/killing/destroying anything why not drive like a normal person.. until you get to a track.. then keep all the idiotic driving at the track?

Haha yeah the only bad part is once you start extending your limit and becoming a better driver it starts to take alot more to get that adrenaline rush. So then you start seeking more and more ways to get it like a drug. But yes sign up for autocross when ever you can, hell I was driving 2 and 3 hours away just to hit little 25 car events so I could practice ( other than the occasional late night " wanna be downhill" sessions while I was staying in Elkton, Virginia timing myself 4 or 5 runs ). Just be safe whatever and wherever u do it

Dont for one second come on here boasting like you don't drive your Z hard for some thrills on public roads. And if you don't, maybe a Corolla would suffice ya.

Will do, Doesn't hurt learning the basics and learn some maneuvers that could help if for say I do find my self losing it, its better to learn how to correct the situation instead of sitting behind the wheel guessing what to do, because for those few secs trial and error wont be on my side unless I hit it right.

Hopefully the OP comes to the realization that anyone who feels uncomfortable with track-like driving (as he describes himself) should enroll in a school where they learn how to drive properly.

Exactly.... Took a lot of blown engines, crashed cars and lost races for me to figure out that I never took the time to learn the basics. Pushing myself and my car gives me more joy and a greater high than any drug or extreme sport ever could. Anyways wish you the best of luck OP and if you have any questions on driving techniques, driving lines, foot work or modding to fit your driving style hit me up

How am I supposed to look into it? Are you that popular that I can google your name and find out the details on your uber fast Lancer? I don't care about how much power it made. If you loved it so much then why did you get rid of it and get a Z?

I know a stock Mitsu Ralliart is garbage. I used to be in a Evo/Sti group for a while so I know a decent amount about those cars. I drove a ton of them (Evo/Sti), from stock to some pushing over 900whp. I know what those types of cars are capable of. Maybe your car was fast, but I am going off of what a stock Ralliart is about. I could say the same about any car, once you mod it, it can be faster than any other stock car with the right amount of money.

Back on topic, as some have said, the stock tires are garbage. I hated the Potenzas. My BFGoodrich G-Forces stick so much better and give me a lot more confidence.

Damn some one is on a rant. You go off starting about dissing a car with false assumptions and accusations if you truly knew about the ralliart instead of the garbage talk you keep spilling it was quite an impressive vehicle to start and building it up just made it more promising. And the reason I moved over to Nissan is cause I love their quality plus I didn't like the direction Mitsubishi is headed these days, killing off all their performance lines and being more economical, trying to be something that of Toyota, just a shittier stand alone if anything to compare to Toyota. Anyway to be talking down on it then you progress to tell us about Evos and STIs no cares about, just as much as you could care about my built ralliart... makes sense

^that escalated quickly. I'm not sure of this uncomfortable feeling this earthling is talking about. Back on my planet the Z inspires confidence and turns vertical motion of 6 cylinders lined up in a V pattern into forward rotational motion through this planet. It sucks in trees, squirrels, little children and veloser raptors to propel it around corners while leaving a trail of disrupted pavement and disgruntled peta members in it's wake. The feeling that this earthling is getting lies within the confidence of not being grounded to pilot this machine built by my planet. Simply put, slow the f*** down or learn how to drive the thing before you hurt yourself.

I do know about it, that is why I am calling it a piece of garbage because in my opinion it is.

And your reasoning for getting rid of it is retarded as well. Yea I heard so many Supra owners are selling their cars because they don't like the cars that Toyota is selling nowadays.
