I’m disappointed hearing that you feel that way.

You should be comfortable posting any question or comment. Don’t fret about an adverse response unless it comes from a Moderator.

I think there are many issues on this forum that need to be addressed. Just my .02...

This forum is a double edge sword: it can be helpful to some (if you know how to search) and hurtful to others. I've been here for a long time and this forum taught me a lot. It's not the same like it was few years back and I miss those days. I see members now who were regular forum noobs, now a mod - congrats to those btw.

Someone mentioned your car ain't $h!t if you don't have expensive parts and he's right. This place is a pissing contest since day one (it's like that everywhere IMO ) and everyone wants that e fame, I do agree to a certain extent however. I bought my car new, not used so any part I put on it will be quality part and quality comes with a price unfortunately.

you get what you pay for and i learned my lesson by "settling" for parts instead of waiting and getting what i really wanted. you will more than likely save money if you save and get quality parts, or what you want instead of making do with something

Almost every post I see from some members (pyshin, SR71, etc.) is a negative one. Maybe I'm wrong, but I like being nice. It's too much work to get angry and make derisive comments. Watch me get flamed now.

i try to help people the best i can, i will also admit that i will poke fun at some people at times. some people take it with a smile and others get all bent out of shape. we can be like piranhas ready to eat.... but what some would say is constructive critism other would consider attacking.

Expensive =/= Quality

Generally yes, better quality costs more. But that is not always how it is.

I've bought plenty of cheaper things that are higher quality than more expensive things. Just gotta know what to look for.

I help plenty of members to the best of my ability. You may have seen alot of flaming from me but I go after the completely deserving (imo of course) and I think it's fun

And I like gifs.

I've been on many forums over the years (ATVs, Snowmobiles, cars etc.) and this is by far the meanest, most hostile, and negative forum I've ever experienced. There are many nice and helpfull people here but there are quite a few jerks. I recently added an 03 Mustang GT convertible to the stable (I'm never selling the 350ZR) and was surprised at how much more pleasant the forums are for that car, I expected the opposite. I learned years ago that someone will always have something negative to say, always. Thanks to the nice people here, I appreciate you and thanks to the people who keep this site going. Okay, cue all the Mustang bashers.

I've been lurking since 2010 before I even got my Z in 2012. I like doing research and collecting information and intelligence on people, places and things. It's what I'm good at. By the time I bought my Z I already knew as much as the veteran members before I even had the keys in my hand. But even with a lot of research everyone's experience won't be the same so I try my best to help anyone out.

Am I in the right place? Is this where the support group meets?

If you don't like what someone types shrug it off. What do you do when it's in person?

It's a waste of time getting offended from someone's comment. Who you'll more than likely never meet and possibly 1500+ miles away.

First off, I'd like to say thank you to everyone. It seems like this post is serving it's purpose that I intended. To bring people together and express how they feel. Some lean to the left, others lean to the right. Overall, at least we all are getting a feel. Personally, I can take a bashing (Police Officer in training) and can take stern comments from stern people. I just wanted to create a post and bring this topic to attention. It doesn't hurt to have a reminder that we are all people in the end. This post isn't suppose to serve as a cry for help. It simply it just to serve as a reminder, and as an attempt to limit the down right unnecessary comments I seen time and time again. I agree, if you come to the forum and post something without doing your homework or without any background info, you're just going to get a bunch of pissed of guys/gals on your tail. But those are the times where it is necessary. I'm talking about time where it is completely unnecessary. That is the main objective of this post.

However, at least we are all coming together as a community right now so that's exciting!

...and unfortunately I do not drive a Prius and I REALLY WANT A PORSCHE! XD

Best,
Justin
