Default almost let the lady go

What's up guys. I own a 2003 Touring Z 6MT in daytona blue with 89k miles on it and i almost traded her in for a 2002 Subaru WRX sedan with 90k at the dealership where i work at. I ended up not doing it because they only wanted to give me 6 grand for the lady while i own $7,400 and they wanted to sell me the subbie for 9 grand. My plan was to just swap loans, if that makes sense. HAHA. Just something i felt i needed to share up on the forum since i rarely post stuff ha. Let me know what you peeps think.

Good job not getting yourself into more debt than you already are.

That would have been a bad move in any case in my opinion. Unless it was an STi I would never trade my Z for a WRX. now my Mazda3 on the other hand......

I think only time will tell what a wise decision you made by not trading your Z for the Scoobie. But everyone I know who has owned a Scoobie has thrashed it to within an inch of its life and the only time they get rid of them is when engine internals are about to self destruct. I think you've made the correct decision.

I'd imagine right now be a horrible time for getting an AWD car as well. Z value drops in winter due to drivability and WRX goes up for winter uses. Perhaps try again in the summer.

wrx's are really expensive and replacing that stock turbo (which would probably happen soon) would be expensaaaaave. better off with the Z. pay it off then turbo it and you'll never look at a wrx again

The early WRX models from 02-03 had transmission issue due to owners trying to achieve the 0-60 times the mags posted when the car first hit the US.Subaru from what
I understand was not honoring the warranty for the transmissions blaming the owners.

I would keep the Z...

A 350z will last a lot longer than a WRX and require a lot less maintenance.

No do not buy a wrx. I was going to but everyone I looked at was either modded or needed a turbo.

They like to have bad rods as well or head gasket issues. The transmission has not been changed and sucks.

I mean, if you come to a Z forum hoping for us to sell you on the WRX then........ idk.

Maybe join a Subaru forum so they can all hate you?

Jp, but they likely will.

I rarely laugh at stuff but I chuckled at you understanding the huge maintenance bill.
