This winter sucksssss
I'm making the move the Florida by spring as well. My Z has been in the garage since November until this crappy winter is over with. I use my immaculate old school 95 Toyota Camry to get around. Even if there isn't any snow I don't drive my Z or M3 in the winter because of all the salt screwing up people's cars.

We are moving to Bonita Springs, right outside of Naples.
Hey man i'm taking things slow. I'm not in a rush.
Coral Gables, South Beach, Tampa and Palm Beach are the places i'm looking to move too. Right now it's highly likely Coral Gables.

I wouldn't spin the tires in the snowy driveway excessively. There two things, first, when a spinning tire suddenly caught traction, i.e. a dry patch, the impact loading would destroy the weakest link in the driveline. It could be in the form of ripped teeth in the rear diff.
Secondly, while spinning tires on ice or snow, the rear end very rarely follows a straight path. Inexperienced driver would smack one side into the retaining wall or put the car in a difficult position to save.
I'll say, speand $20 and buy a snow shovel or if ice already settled in, an ice scrapper; better yet, buy one each. That big of a driveway will take less than 30 minutes to clear. Driving in and out would be a whole lot easier and there is much less chance of people slipping and injuring themselves or damaging the car parked in the driveway.
Even better yet, do all those and put a dedicated set of winter tires on your Z, they are cheap insurance.

Rwd so much fun in the snow, but i my Z is sleeping for the winter,
Good ol truck get me around, i nearly laughed at the 1/4 inch of snow the americans got, and it went into full panic mode... i got 4-5 feet in my yard.
