The only problem with that, if the newbs are actually permitted insurance by an insurance company, the more they write-off the more expensive our insurance becomes.

Not if you insure it in an old person's name until you turn 25. Got 2 of my cars in my dad's name but my beater Toyota Camry in mine. Anyways, isn't the 350z the car with the highest death toll out of any other car? I think insurance rates are at their peaks already if you own a Z33 just because of that. I think the Ford Mustang and Lancer Evolution might be the closest to the Z33's death toll.

I get no where near my limits on a public road unless I'm willing to put others at risk which I wont do. If you want to be a hooligan (nothing wrong with that IMO) this car might require too much speed to break it loose and get silly. I had a lot of fun with my slightly modded FWD Honda's and Nissan when it came to sliding in turns etc.

what kind of rims you rockin? and...if they don't come through on the head/taillights...

OP, get the Z, drive like a grandma till you get the hang of it. Then if/when you wreck it, post the pics and sell the parts! everyone wins

Not true, at least not for geico, allstate, or progressive. The obvious factors they look at are your driving record, credit history, previous insurance coverage, your total daily commute, and the area you live in. You do not save on insurance when you turn 25 and that is a myth. Believe me, i was disappointed when I turned 25 and my rates stayed the same. Per those three insurance companies, you really save when you get married, because they figure now that you're a family man, you are less likely to do stupid sh*t. After I got married, I saved about $20/month. but then again, my rates weren't high to begin with (i pay $85/month for full coverage).

although i'm sure that what kind of car you drive does play a factor, i think the actual person getting the insurance product plays a bigger role in the price, as my 07 Si was more to insure than my current 07 Z (correct me if i'm wrong if there are any insurance agents on this forum).

I think I remember my rates decreasing when I turned 25.

Anyways, OP, that makes more sense now that you mention engine revs.

Just push it where the red line begins on your tach or just a little past the beginning.

Obviously don't always drive like this and make sure your oil levels are always good.

Please treat your car with respect. My Z is turbocharged and runs like a champ and has about 130,000 miles on it. Treat it well and it will go on forever.

P.S. It has been found that Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w-40 is the best oil for the VQ35 engine. Not sure if that's the engine you will get but if you do, that make and weight has been found to be very good for our car. Its the European formula.

Take that back dude. Us PS3 owners don't take too kindly to your xbox fukery. Well my father is married to my mother and he's well over 25 which means my rates are low like a 90 year old woman's ****. If it was in my name they would be sky high regardless of my clean driving record because people like op like to snap they're **** up and raise the rates of everyone else. I'll switch it to my name when I turn 25 and get married.

This reminds me of the "olden days," when we could be mean. And by that I mean that we were really MEAN. Mercifully this is changed. --Spike
