How far can you push the Z?
I'm currently a Pontiac G6 owner and I have damaged it several times pushing it a bit to far drifting and whatnot. Mainly because i'm a dumb *** and a G6 is really no where near a performance car. However that's why i'm planning on buying a Z soon because I love the looks to it and it is a more performance inclined car. I was just wondering how far you can push it (fully stock) without risking any damage.
Seeing the number of newbs "drifting" into poles, especially on Thanksgiving, in under 6 mos ownership and you having a track record of crashing in a less sports oriented car... I'd say failure is inevitable.
So you failed at drifting a front wheel drive car and cannot handle that. So now you want to move to a rear wheel drive car? You are literally asking to wrap it around a tree.

The Z33 is a powerful RWD sportscar with a proud legacy, while the G6 was a tepid FWD coupe from a defunct car maker. So how far can you take it? Only as far as your skill, experience and judgement will allow.
If you're thinking a Z will be more forgiving or easier to control at the limit, you're only fooling yourself. And if you're truly a dumb ***, do yourself a favor and skip the Z33. Keep driving the G6- it's easier and cheaper to repair when you crash it. Get serious about your driving before you start dreaming of really owning a Z.

Welcome to the forum and all that but i'm sort of fearing the onset of a DUGAN style post in the very near future. The simple answer to your question is you can push it as far as your skills will allow you and judging by your admission that really isn't very far at all. Do yourself a favour and get yourself down to a Drift School and spend a day or two there learning all about RWD and how to control it.

Q: How far can you push the Z?
A: To it's limits
The reason you beat up your old car is because you didn't know its limits. If you buy a Z, or any car for that matter, take it to a track and learn its limits before you hurt someone on the street.
