i like how the ad says "thieves did no other damage.... they took what they wanted and left the reat alone"

looks to me like they put a plasma cutter to the engine bay when yanking the engine out... I'd say quite a bit of damage has been done.

I dont think so dude..... figure on a new ECU, engine and tranny costing about $7K or 8K. Then think about fabricating all new motor mounts and fixing the body where the crooks took a plasma torch to it. It also looka like they weren't very nice to the dash.

You're looking at another $3K just to get it all back together.

So now your in for about $30K. Thats $30K for a hacked Z. At that point just buy a new one and save yourself the headaches.

If it could be bought for $8K or 9K thats a different story.

You're correct. This would only be a good deal if you could pick it up for under $10,000. But then you'ld have a Frankenstein Z. You could never sale it and get your money out of it no matter how good it was fixed because you'll always have a salvage title.

Of course there are ways to laundry the title...

You could launder the title but why would you do that to someone? There will always be evidence of the theft since they obviously didn't follow the FSM when removing the engine.

I would only pay 5k for car. In truth it is worthless unless you were to part it out, and that is not something I am interested in.

The launder part was a joke. Of course, this whole thread is a joke

This is a worthless car, the only worth of it is as a parts car.
