Wow 140 Mph And Lots Left
ya gotta love floridas flat straight highways had the urge to go fast on my 3 mile ride home and took the senic route in stead...
last night went east 15 miles outta the way to see the beach on the way home. my ride home should take 3 to 5 minutes and it keeps taking me longer and longer to get home. My wife must think im foolin around on her. well i guess i am i'm with eleanor as my kids have named the car from gone in 60 seconds i know its not a stang but the color is right on
any way went a couple of exits onto the sawgrass and checked out radar traps none so i got balsy and got it up to 140 glanced for a split second sorry didn't look at the tach but there was lots of pedal left was only there for a few seconds WOW what a fun car
well im not that cool the other night i was playin with a 300zx and went to down shift from 5th to 4th and went into 6th instead so of course he pulled away but i did catch him in traffic and then proceded to follow him could have passed him any time the power was there just not a place to pass maybe next time was fun though.
Ps my radar has saved me 3 times passport escort 8500
craig
pss 900 + miles on the car did oil change at 407 and intend on going synthtec Redline oil at 1200 miles

dude, the Sawgrass is usually crawling with cops and other hazards, like last year when there was a big gator chillin' on the Sawgrass. you got *****.
i'm in Boston now, but I'm building a house in Miramar and I'll be there when I buy my Z next year, so I'll see you on the Sawgrass. ;-)

I guess you can't do that going down to the keys. I drove down there back in the 80s and there must have been a cop (in a 5.0 L Mustang) just sitting there waiting for speeders every mile or so!

I swear, you would have to be doing 150Mph with people hanging out the windows and a bail of marijuana on fire on the trunk before they pull you over around here. Apparently if you have to ***** to endanger everyone's life on 285 then there is nothing to stop you.

Nah, Atlanta. Anywhere in Atlanta.

Ain't that the truth. There is no enforcement at all here!

Yesterday the police were out on 400 just south of Holcomb-Bridge Road (before the river going south) with the radar gun!
The Duluth police are always out and watch out with them..it's a ticket if over 5 MPH! Usually hang out on State Bridge and P'tree Ind Parkway (all directions).
The Chamblee cops have been very active the last few days on P'tree Ind Blvd north of 285 (the highway part both directions). Always see someone pulled over.
SO, be careful around some parts of Atlanta!!!

Oh My God, 140MPH??? You should have your Z Trashed, your first born taken away and banned from eating Jello. You should be forced to drive a Daewoo, bought at Full MSRP. You should be arrested and sent to an Afghan Street Market wearing nothing but an Israeli Flag as a Tee Shirt. You have endangered the lives of countless sleep-crawling wandering highway babies and slow moving rodents. May God Have Mercy On Your Soul....

They will definitely get you in Atlanta but not very often. Usually you are OK in the city limits but once I got a ticket doing 84 in a 55 on I75. I was actually doing 100 but the officer was nice enough not to give me a reckless driving ticket which was mandatory for 30 over. Nominal speed in that area is 80 to 85 so 100 wasn't really that fast compared to traffic. This was right near the Howell Mill exit.

It's true, traffic in Atlanta flies, but there are cops and when they're out they're out with a vengence, you just have to know when and where to look for them.
I do agree though, the car is exhilerating at high speed, and handles fantastically. Last Friday I was driving down to Highlands for dinner with some friends and the people I was going with thought it'd be funny to take the HOV exit from Akers Mill onto I-75 since I was alone and couldn't follow. Well after a frustrating jaunt through 3 lights to Cumberland... the chase was on. I caught them at Howell Mill, I would have caught them sooner, but there was some traffic, and it was a little wet from earlier rain... so I kept it to 95mph and lower. Quite a ride, it handles great in the wet too
