Declining expectations for My350Z posts
#241
Totally agree, I went with a very clean simple approach with my Z, you could eat off it at any given time, not a single dent or scratch on it. I clay barred it regularly, it definitely stood out amongst the riced out Z's, because I put quality parts on it. But for me I just couldn't put myself back in one with all the crap ones out there. Don't get me wrong had it not gotten totaled I still would have it to this day and would probably be perfectly happy. As a result of the wreck, I was able to obtain my ultimate dream car, so for that I am thankful. Hence the reason, I will still be associating with Z community. More than likely will be at ZDayz 2016 with my Supra, its a fun event with fun people.

So reading through here I decided to log into my old car forum clubrsx... If you think the rice is strong with my350z you should go take a gander in that forum. I posted a reply to some dude looking to make his car more awesome by removing the resonator. And found a link to my car domain page from 04 I was a cool dude in my 20s

just saying, I'm new here and even being a noob some of these posts got me like some people are so damn lazy where they ask a question without even searching for the 25 threads that are already out there. I'm pretty sure that every single inch of the z is covered in the forums from suspension to sex in the z... at least for me, every single question that I have had is here and then some. anyways I felt compelled to vent here because I saw posts on facebook asking if their idle was normal and if their oil pressure was normal and that was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

Hey DK, I'm in total agreement with your post and this is precisely the reason I've taken a break from the site as my frustration gets the better of me and its a futile exercise having to constantly spoonfeed the newbs.

Hey Sam- join me in creating some posts on this board that have some substance and joy to them. It's the only way to create some content and develop conversations we can all enjoy.

I take pride in owning my Z. I take good care of it, wash it wax it, clean it and just appreciate the car and enjoy driving it. But the last straw for me was when I was driving down the hwy, I passed a all black plasti dipped from front to rear down to the wheels looking like a true POS. it wasn't even a good plasti dip either it was horrible job and the car just looked like ****.... Driving next to him and passing I just felt like it was time for me to sell the car. But I love my car and I don't see myself driving something else....

1st day back in a few years and i left because of this exact topic years ago. Just like people do not want to work, but expect free money. The same applies to information.
What also gets me anywhere on the Net is that the Persons asking for this help also tend to become aggravated from the responses after the fact.
Almost as bad as when i give someone directions and they tell me no thats not what the GPS said.....like Don't F'n ask me then.
But such is life, the decline of the brain power of humans, because technology is starting to perform all the tasks they need for them.
As an Auto tech sometime i read other forums, or those Sites like "askme, car fix, yahoo answers" and the amount of garbage i have to sift through is stressful in itself.
it is not like it used to be, that my friend is for sure.

That didn't feel right. I finished reading the entire thread.
I would like to say a couple of things:
1) I am 35 years old. I just bought my first Nissan Z for $6900 used about a month ago. I am the happiest car owner on the planet right now. It is nearly impossible to describe the joy of driving this car. I waited 13 years to get mine, and I would have waited another 13 if I had to. The last "go fast" thing I wanted this badly was a Dyno bicycle with pegs in the 5th grade.
I'm truly honored and humbled to join the legacy of ownership. Perhaps my entry fee is not as high as others, but I still have a share. I own and drive something that many others only stand on the sidelines and talk about. Call it a mid life crisis... see if I care. It is a dream realized for me. Used up, worn out... ehhh... I feel that way somedays. I'm excited about the opportunity to breath life into the next 100,000 on my Z and begin my journey as an owner.
2) Thank you. For those of you that have spent countless hours, published thousands of words, and poured out your hearts on these forums... thank you. Although I am getting to the party late, you've left an incredible road map. It's just as exciting for me when I discover a new thread from 2005 as it was for you the first time. I appreciate all of your hard work, and I promise to use the search feature. Sometimes.
