Default VQ35HR light throttle hesitation

Hey guys posting on behalf of a family friend.

Basically they have a 2007 350z with the VQ35HR engine with 50k which has developed a slight hesitation/miss on light throttle application when taking off and while going through the gears. If more throttle is applied you can not notice this slight hesitation and engine revs fine.

I have searched through the forum but havent had any luck on finding what the cause might be.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try to clean the maf sensors and throttle bodies. Also replace the intake filters while your at it and reset the ECU.

Throttle bodies are clean. Resetting the ECU may be next on the list.

Sometimes it quite noticeable especially if your in traffic and take off in 1st and around 1500-2000rpm it start jolting then disappears over 2000rpm.

Sounds like a misfire. Has the owner checked the spark plugs? Are they using 91 octane? How does the car idle?

Car idles fine and 98ron fuel is used.

They removed one of the spark plugs and checked the gap. Engine still has the factory Denso iridium spark plugs fitted which has 50,000 kms on them.
