Default Enthusiast or Touring?

What is the difference? I've heard a lot of people tell me I have a touring, a lot tell me I have an enthusiast. Based on my homework, I am thinking Enthusiast, but would like some reassurance.

2005 Convertible
Leather seats
Heated seats
Power seats
TCS
Auto dimming mirror
Bose sound system
NO navigation
Cruise Control
17' Alloy wheels

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

Enthusiast trim most likely.

Assuming none of the easily changed items have been changed (wheels most notably), lack of steering wheel radio controls are giveaways.

Look at the control buttons on the left-lower dash (above your knee).... VDC or TCS button? TCS (and the 17" wheels) would indicate Enthusiast.

But the SUREFIRE way of determining EXACTLY what it is, use the VIN Decoder:

https://my350z.com/forum/vindecoder.php

If that doesn't definitively ID the car, well, not sure it was ever made. LAFF.........

Bose and leather lead me to believe it is a touring.

17's for wheels, Enthusiast with aftermarket leather. No VDC either, just TCS. Touring had 18's "Wagon Wheels", VDC.

Sounds like you got the Enthusiast.

I have an 03 Touring with all stock interior. I have the VDC, had the OEM 18" wheels, Bose 6 disc system, Frost leather interior, and heated power seats.

I think the car is an automatic. The Touring automatics came standard with the 17" wheels. The fact the car has heated leather also seems to indicate it is a Touring.
Please provide a few more pictures and I think we could confirm the model for sure.

Youre right. Did the 03's AT's have a VDC button like my 05 6MT Touring?

I'm putting my money on enthusiast. Touring has radio controls and 18's regardless no radio controls means its not a touring model. Having tcs and leather seats its gotta be an enthusiast.

Nope, no radio controls on the Touring. Im willing to bet its a VDC button and not a TCS. He just called it TCS. Enthusiast never came with leather.

Really? I have a touring with radio controls... 18" tv2 wheels leather power and heated seats.. and tcs is the button you'd have first vdc is the secondary button you get with gt and I believe track models as well. I belive he does have tcs and not vdc or he'd have both, I'm still betting its an enthusiast.

TCS and VDC are exclusive to certain models. On track models (like mine) you got a VDC control button, but not TCS. Same for performance, touring and GT models- all had VDC buttons, but never a TCS switch. Although there's room for a secondary switch on that lower panel, it was never filled on the USDM Z33 models.

The later Touring models had radio controls on the wheel.

Touring Automatics have TCS , leather and 17 inch wheels. So I believe my prior statement is correct.

OP's car looks exactly like my '05 touring roadster when it was stock (except for the color) and same options as long as it's MT. Same wheels, leather, Bose, no radio controls, etc.

+1 to the VIN decoder

Nissan made a change to the late '06-08 Z33 during the mid-model refresh. One of them was to add stereo control buttons to the steering wheel. The early 03-05 models (except for base) have only the CC buttons on the right spoke of the steering wheel.

Going back to OP's original post, I just noticed the leather/heated seats and according to the '03-04 features list (included at bottom of this), I have to change my tune to agree with terrasmak, dkmura and others stating that it's a Touring.

Why yes, I just retyped that from memory for you. I'm that good.

Naww, that was copied from another Z forum so I give props to the original poster there. It's 100% accurate from what I can tell. List helped me when shopping for my Z a few years ago.
