After asking in my intro thread what the best possible course of action would be to share progress on my 350z, I was told to make a progression thread so here it is.
This will be sort of slow going as I will be selling old parts to fund new parts as well as fabricating some of my own parts.
Not a lot has changed in my month of ownership but I did go ahead and install my 350mm personal Grinta with a limited edition works bell quick release. The hub is in fact an NRG and having owned both a works bell and a NRG hub I like the overall look ove the NRG more and it seems to have a smaller profile as well, which is nice.
Also a friend and I collabed and made a few one off parts including a custom dipstick handle and shift ****.
Other than those few things I am working on making my own cooling plate. Which should be finisged up this coming weekend.
Thats pretty much it for now. More will come since the car is officially put away for the upcoming winter. I will keep this updated as best as possible. I also apologize if the photo's are not crystal clear. I have an Android Galaxy S5 and the camera is equal to that of a potato.
Looks nice! I love your steering wheel. It sucks to have to put the Z away for the winter. I have to do that as well. 6 months without driving my Z.. I can't handle it!
Thanks sir! I know this isn't really the place but we will be producing a small run of them in various designs.
I dislike putting the car away for the 5+ months that I have to as well but it gives me time to get some things together on the car to make it better next year!
i dont see any real progress or plans or goals for future....
Well I apologize that I haven't blown the car into pieces yet. I have other wheels for it among tbings but I wanted to wait to post any of that up until tires are purchased and the color is chosen. Once the vehicle is in the air on my lift it will be pulled apart for further progression. Since I am 26 and own my own home I try to make things work and buy parts as fast as I can but sometimes other items have priority. I have owned the car for 6 weeks now and feel like I am heading in the right direction none the less. It doesn't really bother me if I share that progression or not. As far as goals. What are realistic goals? I just enjoy driving the car around on summer days. The goal is to improve on what it was and not wreck it. Hopefully I will be able to make it out to a few autox events and hdpe events but that is yet to be determined.
