Interesting New Info
I have been trying to find the new Flex Z from Tein for the Z33 and have had no luck.I Emailed them asking about it and this is their response.
The FLEX Z coilover application for the vehicle would be offered in Japan, but we have unfortunately not been able to test it with US vehicle models at this time. It could be that the spring rate or valving would differ for the US models as the vehicles here have more reinforcement which would make the vehicles a bit heavier. With our current STREET FLEX application here in the States for the Z33 the spring rate would be a 12 kg spring all around and the FLEX Z offered in Japan for the Z33 would be a 10 kg spring rate in the front and a 9 kg spring rate in the rear. It would be at your own discretion if you would like to purchase the FLEX Z as a Special Order from Japan through any of our TEIN Authorized Dealers, as we do not accept returns or exchanges for Special Order products.
Im assuming that this means the US sold Z33 weighs more? I just find that mildly interesting figured id share.
-have a nice day everyone.

When we were stationed in Korea from 1984-1988, we brought along our 1979 Chevy Malibu station wagon. One fine evening, while driving through the Itaewon shopping district, a guy in a Hyundai Pony rammed the back of our car at about 25 mph. He hit us so hard, he flew out his windshield and the entire front of his car was demolished. The only damage to our car was the blood he left behind on our back window. There was literally no other damage whatsoever. The police didn't want to deal with us foreigners and the paperwork, so they sent us on our merry way, leaving us to think about how nice it was to be in a car that was built like a tank compared to what the locals were driving. There's something to be said about US safety standards compared to the standards most other countries are willing to accept.
