Default Front Tire Locking Up

I searched around on here and looking for some help. I have a 350z (2003) track model - stock brembos - today i was backing in to a parking spot and heard a terrible grind, like i ran something over. Got out nothing. got back in car and drove to work no issues with brakes they worked fine, but i did notice a thunk sound sometime when pressing the pedal. When i got to work i had a buddy look at the wheel while i backed out, and the grind happened again. He told me the driver side tire actually locked up....Has anyone had this issue or know what the problem is? If it matters the car is on RSR coilovers, and all the bushings had been replaced months back with whitelines.

I checked the res. on the fluid all are within min max levels. Car drives fine moving forward, no brake noise, pad grinding, caliper lock noises on the rotor...noting.

up to this one incident there havent been any other issues with the brakes or suspension. it only happens in reverse. nothing moving forward, and car brakes fine, with the exception of a slight thunk noise when pressing the pedal down here and there.

Stop driving the car now, pull the wheel off, and inspect the caliper. It's not bolted on properly, cracked, missing a bolt(s), missing pad locating pin(s), or otherwise damaged, and it's binding when you reverse the car.

pulled the wheel off and the lower 22M bolt holding the caliper on had somehow fallen out. Found a replacement at ACE Hardware M14x1.5x45 and that did the trick. Crazy, thank you!

Is that a high grade bolt you bought at ACE? You need to use a Class 8.8, or better yet, a Class 10.9, in that application. Be certain to torque the new bolt to the proper spec, which is 114 ft-lb.

FWIW, you can get a replacement bolt from Nissan Parts and make sure you've got the right OEM part. They aren't that expensive. You can change out your other bolts while you're at it (yours may have come from a bad batch.)
