Well the time has come to trade the Z in on a new vehicle. I would have loved to keep it as a project car, but needed the trade in value to get the car I wanted. I was blessed to be lucky enough to own my 08 Nismo(#0831) for nearly 3 years, the car was a champ the whole time. especially considering I travel a lot for work and pleasure so the car accumulated quite a bit of mileage(131k). I enjoyed every minute behind the wheel, especially the Nismo Performance Academy @Homestead. I have posted very little on this forum, but I check in nearly every day, and will continue to do so. I've learned a lot here, especially to NOT post questions without searching first. I don't know that my new ride(2016 1SS) will give me as much joy as the Z, but I am willing to let it try.

Have a safe winter everyone, God Bless.

Best wishes on your next car. You'll still be considered fam, so stop in and say,"Hello" from time to time.

Good luck with your next car. I'm in the market for a used crewcab pickup, but I plan on keeping my Z in the garage for the weekends

I picked mine up last Thursday, I've been very pleased so far. I'm not use to driving such a big car. Even though it's small compared to most, it feels huge compared to the Z. Let me know what you think of it. Did you get the 6MT or A8?

Yes travlee they do have blind spots they have added some things to help

Front and rear parking sensors work with a rear mounted high-definition color camera to make parking and maneuvering in tight spaces easier. Lane assist, mounted in the side view mirrors, helps catch cars hiding in the blind spots.

I was not much for them until this new SS few things that make it a great car and got me into more.

-Motor Trend car of the year
-Motor Authority best car to buy 2016
-Great updated interior
-Magnetic Ride Control, which reads the road and driver inputs 1,000 times per second while adjusting the dampers.
-Alpha Platform same as the new Cadillac and ATS & V'S
-6.2 Liter lt1 as always borrowed from the Corvette

Only two parts carry over from the fifth-generation Camaro, the Bow Tie emblem on the back and the SS badge from what i have read the rest is new.

so your right they stepped up i could go on but i am on a Z forum that i also respect as a great sports car so who ever reads this don't get it twisted lol

2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Manual is a nice looking car sharing the Cadillac ATS platform (for luxury) with the engine specifications of the Corvette (for performance).

The upgrade is " just a bit " more agressively angular than a Z - Looking Good !

Check back with some Pros & Cons of each after a good thorough breaking in of the SS.

Congratulations !

Sweet new ride, OP.

But everytime I see the title of the thread, I cringe. It's "F-A-R-E-W-E-L-L"! Heh, heh, what's a little OCD amongst friends?

I was referring to the state FAIR, it went so WELL, that I bought a new car???

This is the reason I don't point out other posters spelling mistakes.. sometimes my brain doesn't work correctly either.

OCD is welcome, constructive criticism is always a good thing. Although I have to admit it was tempting to misspell every word in this reply.

I'm enjoying every second of the SS. In a couple weeks I'll do a write up on it vs the Z.
