Default Ripped off By Concept Z in Arizona

I purchased a Rack and Pinion from Concept Z and was charged a core charge of $200. The Rack and Pinion arrived then I removed my old Rack and Pinion and put it in the box with the pre-paid UPS label the company provided. I then brought it to the UPS store where they shipped the core to the address on the label. Three months later I contact Concept Z and they tell me that they need a tracking number to reimburse me for my core charge. I never received a tracking number because the shipping label was prepaid, but Concept Z tells me sorry but they can not do anything without a tracking number. They tell me that the core went to a 3rd party company that cant find my core, without a tracking number. I contacted the UPS store and they tell me that the only way to find this Tracking number is by using the shipper number of the company, but the I'm not allowed to have the shipper number. So now I get cheated out of $200.00 for a core that was shipped to the proper address. The customer suffers because of the poor record keeping of Concept Z.. I find it hard to believe that the company that provided me the pre paid shipping label that also has a tracking number pre- associated with it cant find my core. This company has horrible record keeping.
Has anyone else been burn by them? I filed a complaint with the BBB.

So Concept Z used their "shipper number" for the prepaid label, which will verify that you sent the core back, but they will not do a little research to find out if that prepaid label was satisfied or became active when you sent the core back?

I mean... you waited 3 months to contact them.... you didnt keep records on the tracking number either. Wether its prepaid or not, when shipped, theres always a tracking number.

Not defending concept z as i dont like them much either and order else where when i can, but youre not 100% innocent either.

I've done business with CZP and they have always been solid for me. Last recent transaction was probably about 3 months ago. Working with them now on a turbo upgrade and they are communicative as always.

Not sure with your situation, but try to resolve thru them is what I would suggest. Alas I usually ask for everything in emails for records.

My thoughts exactly. I would have been tracking it the whole way back. After a week with no refund upon delivery, I would have been calling to check up on the status of core return.

I thought people recommended Concept Z, I could be getting them confused. However, if they sent a prepaid label, how do they not have it recorded somewhere?

Yep, it is pretty much your fault. The tracking # was on the pre-paid label. You should have written it down and tracked it. All this said, if you explain that you were not diligent in keeping track of your records and ask for help, someone over there at ConceptZ I suspect would help you find your tracking # based on your order.

Just to add... never had a prob with CZP. Solid company, decent prices, good communications with them when I had a problem (out-of-stock) order, resolved immediately.

And yes, double posting isn't going to help matters any. I get where you're coming from, OP, but work it out with them.

Hey Guys,

We are working on this, the pre-paid label is provided by the manufacturer, not by CZP. We are working with both the customer and the manufacturer to get this resolved. We don't refund cores until we get confirmation that it has been returned, so in the end we will get this resolved and client will get his refund, we just need to know which core the manufacturer received is for this customer. Requested a tracking number from the client to speed things up, but he could not provide, so now we're going back and forth with the manufacturer trying to locate it. Thx for all the support, we love you guys

If you remember the exact date of shipment, go to the UPS store and see if they can look it up for you - if CZP can give you the address that was on the label. They should have a daily manifest of all packages shipped.

Never had a problem working with the CZP guys. Awesome customer service, quick responses, decent prices, and have placed a number of orders with them, including a CD009 Transmission. Out of z1 motorsports, zspeed performance, and CZP, CZP would have to be my #1 pick.

return shipping labels have tracking numbers on them

so anyone reading this , if you make a photocopy of the return shipping label PRIOR to affixing it to the package , and or taking a picture of it , then you can track it and obtain a POD

Every time I have used a prepaid UPS shipping label, I have been given a receipt at the UPS store. The receipt always contained the tracking number. I've always tracked the return using the receipt and have never had a problem.
