Thanks man. I ended up getting one from eBay by a company called Simota. It has a nice oil level window and a pretty decent screen/baffle. It'll be hooked up to the passenger side cover and recirculated back into the intake.

Here's the latest build progress update:

Tried re-installing the factory breather hose between the two valve covers and split the end of the hose. Ran to Advance Auto and picked up a replacement, moved over the protective rubber sheath and viola:

Mocked up the up-pipe. It didn't go on easy and I ended up having to flatten a small section of it to help clear the sway bar - it turns out I didn't have to do this after all, all I needed to do was to lower the sway bar a bit oh well. I then wrapped it, along with the next exhaust piece in DEI wrap & sprayed it with the DEI silicone spray. I also changed out my old and tired slave clutch line with the Z1 SS braided and insulated one:

The following day I decided to make a wrap day for the rest of the exhaust parts. I did this mainly to help contain the heat, which will help with turbo spool, but I also didn't want to melt certain lines and keep the cabin somewhat cool now that I don't have the A/C anymore. I also took some time to clean up the stock header flanges. I will be re-using the stock gaskets as they still look great after I cleaned them up.

And yesterday I ended up spraying everything I wrapped in the silicone spray again. I think it turned out pretty good for a 1st timer! I also removed all the stock oil cooler lines. Look at all the extra room for activities we have now! I got the HR oil filter stem coming in today and will be installing it Friday along with the aftermarket oil cooler.

Update time!

Finally got the turbo pipes mounted up! I'm not gonna lie, it was a big pain in the ***. I ended up cutting off the slotted up-pipe mounting tab as it was impossible to get the vband flanges to line up. I guess the same happened to iideadeyeii with his build. I had to use a floor jack to get them to line up too, they were that far off. But the other tab kept the turbo inlet flange where I needed it so I'm happy with that.

Today, I'll tackle the down-pipe sections, mount the turbo and make the oil feed and drain lines. Getting close now!!!

Here's the catch can I ordered:

Update time!

I did a few more things over the last few days:

Changed the springs in the WG from the pre-installed 9, down to a 7psi spring. These WGs are super easy to take apart:

The supplied midpipe bracket had terrible fitment too. Had to notch one mounting tabs:

Mounted the eBay catback and the midpipe and temporarily mated the 2nd part of the downpipe to the midipe:

The then finally fitted the turbo on:

This is where I realized how shitty the piping really was. The up-pipe, which I thinks is what's most wrong with these kits, was causing me all sorts of grief. The mounting tabs on that thing are waaay off and the angle at which it comes into the engine bay is all wrong. This caused the fitment for the wastegate, WG recirculation and the whole downpipe to become a nightmare. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy. I had to grind some of my crossmember to fit the wastegate. I've already decided that I'm going to order the Momentum hot side piping on next Black Friday from Z1 and change it up next season. For now, I'm going to ride this out.

Here are some photos of the finalized piping. I need to take the turbo out one more time and clock the compressor outlet into the wheel well and re-install it. I can then put some exhaust gasket maker on the turbine outlet and mate the downpipe permanently!

I also installed the oil cooler components and started oil feed/return lines for the turbo. Used a 370z filter stud after removing the stock cooler adapter. I will most likely cut the supplied lines and use 90 degree swivel adapters instead of the straights they currently have on. I also don't like the oil drain fitting that came with this kit. I will be buying replacing it with a Vibrant one with a male -10AN fitting:

That's all for now folks...hope to get some more stuff done this week
