I have a stock 2004 350z has 129k miles. I just recently replaced all four 02 sensors but the p1283 code will not
Go away I erased the code and it will come back after like 50 miles. I'm new to all mechanical work and I've read you can test the voltage to see if it's
Running rich or lean. The car starts fine and runs fine it idles around 900rpm. Wanted to know if it's safe to drive and what I can do to get rid of the code.
Honestly, without tools, just a thorough visual inspection. Other than that a smoke machine would be extremely helpful.
Okay so just get under my car and look for small holes and what not? And if it's not an exhaust leak what would be my next step? and is it safe to keep on driving? Is it hurting my car?
Based on the Image and fault code pointing to bank 2 sensor one, it may be a leak in front of the upstream O2 sensor. So check for any leaks with the vehicle running on the driver side exhaust manifold and leading up to the upstream O2 Sensor.
I'm assuming the sensor 1 on both banks are alternating from .1 to .9 or somewhere in that ballpark correct? sensor 2 on both banks should be fairly steady near the .5 to .6 range.

I could send you a video of it if that would help?
Have you followed the steps in the FSM? The code triggers because of very specific conditions. It is likely an exhaust leak and could be right around the sensor port or upstream of the sensor, or possibly a failing catalytic converter. Did you use anti-seize reinstalling the sensors? That may help to seal off any leaks across the threads.

What is the FSM? And yeah I used
The anti seize when I installed the sensors. How would I know if it's a failing cat?
