Default Tail of the Dragon Motordyne exhaust request..

I may not be posting this in the correct place so mods please move if necessary.

I live at (less than 1 mile from) the Tail of the Dragon. I figure lots of Z's come by so maybe someone will see this that it applies to. I'm thinking of getting a Motordyne Shockwave TDX exhaust and want to hear it in person first. After all, it is $1600.

So, if anyone has it on their Z and plans on coming to the Dragon soon, please reply or PM me.

thanks

Lol 1600$ for an exhaust, top speed auto straight pipes basically the same and works great. But hey if you have 1600$ and nothing to do with it, go for it

I didn't set the price and I haven't paid it either. That said, if a $1600 exhaust makes you smile every time you get in the car, to me thats worth it.

I'm open to suggestions for a deep exhaust note.

A Borla dual exhaust will have a deeper exhaust note.

Too bad youll never hear it because the Borla is near silent. Its quieter at idle than a stock exhaust. Only way to get any reasonable sound out is with test pipes or ART pipes in my opinion.

Cool. Are you coming down alone or with a bunch of other Z's?

I've changed my mind to the Invidia Gemini. So, if anyone has that system and will be near the Dragon, please let me know.

thanks

Loud as ****, Horrible daily driver, Attract all the cops. Titanium rasps and drones like ****ing crazy due to thin walls.

I had test pipes (resonated) on my Borla. quieter than stock at idle, Sounds good over 3400RPMs. Very quiet below that. But it sounds Very good Tone wise. Will only drone in 6th doing 52-56 with the throttle down.

Its definitely not a loud exhaust, but it does get loud WoT at 4k+ with a test pipe. With cats its as loud as stock. You can actually carry a conversation and not have to yell or raise your voice cruising along.

Im thinking about buying another one for my Nismo, but ill cut the tips off the stock Nismo can and remove the shitty Borla ones.

Quick pull, 2006 rev-up, No name Resonated test pipes (2.25"ID) and Borla TD.
It actually sounds louder outside the car behind it than it does on the inside. Lol.

+1 on the Borla, I love the sound. The video above is accurate for running test pipes......I'm running PPE longtubes, the sound is incredible and the best for a Z in my opinion. Deep throaty growl at idle and startup. Calms down at idle but after 2k rpm (normal shifting is at 3-4 with me lol) it will wake the neighborhood up! Again, I'm running longtubes.......but I am +1 for borla regardless of pre catback system

I've got berk hfc's with my borla and I love it for all the reasons listed above.

p.s.
Is the car yours now? Just curious because a few weeks back you were looking for wheels for your parents.
