Default Navagation

I'm just wondering if you can remove the Navagation system from an 05 350z

You can do anything if you believe hard enough... and yank even harder.

I'd assume it would be the same way as removing the radio; from the back after removing the console.

Here's a link to give you a basic idea: http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/

You would need the whole top center stack from a non nav car..... And the cubby. If you have a slidy button cubby make sure your car has a whole center stack (all of it) from a 2006+.
If you have a pushy button cubby make sure your whole center stack is 2003-2005.
Since you have a 2005 already you would only need a 2003-2005 Upper center stack and cubby.

(its going to be a lot of money)

Its possible. I know a bunch of people who have taken OEM nav out for a newer one.

Idk how tho. But it is possible. But if I know about working on interior. Which I do.. It will be a pain in the azz, end with some broken or bent brackets, and lots of cussing and "wut the fck is that!? And where the fck is it connected to!?"

Hi Katy,

You can remove the OEM Clarion navigation unit from an ’05 350z. It’s not difficult. You will need an instrument cluster and cubby section to replace the one you are removing.

There is a great deal of wiring in your OEM navigation equipped car, but you can just leave that in place.

Questions:
  1. Are you also planning to replace the Bose H/U?
  2. Is your OEM navigation unit working? I’m wondering why you want to replace the stock navigation.

I went and looked at a car with navigation a few weeks ago... I wasnt aware that you push the button and it opens automatically... With the car off I pushed the button nothing happened so I pried that ***** open...

Oops.... Didnt buy that **** anyways. Anyways just take it apart and play with it... You will figure it out
