You'd be better off parting it out if you want to sell it. Otherwise, just repair the car yourself. That's the only way you won't "lose" more money on it.

Don't sell it for 1k, really.

Spend the $1200 in parts to replace it yourself. It IS a huge learning experience, but you'll be so much happier when the job is complete.

Trans is $1600, clutch is $400 and should be between $400 and $600 to install. Let's say $2500 total, a car payment is around $400 a month, so if you keep and drive the car for 7 months after the repairs, it paid for itself. If you drive it for another 2 years, it really paid for itself.

If I was not doing VK swap I would come pick this up right now for 2k and trailer it out and have a track car as well.

If you do wind up selling. I am still very interested when you figure out what your asking and you settle on an amount, please let me know
