Unhappy Electrical gremlins attacking my 03 z

The car is an 03 touring manual.

So my car has had some bad luck this summer. It seems that corrosion in my engine bay fuse box had contributed to my haltechs demise. It appeares that power was backfed to the ecm circut in the engine bay fuse box. My haltechs repaired and is back in and the cars running fine. Except for this new problem where i have no tach or coolant signal on my gauge cluster. I swear before the haltech fried I had these working on the cluster. Aswell my fans kick on as soon as i put the key to "on" they stay on full and do not turn off. I think feeding power into that circut fried something but i dont know what. Its the "electric component " circut in the engine bay fuse box. Its the ecm fuse i believe. Whatever elese is in that circut im not sure. Electical is my weak point.

No engine light on or ecm codes.

I can see coolant temp and rpm signal within the haltech when connected to the ecm. So all the sensors seem to be working fine and reading fine but im not seeing them on the cluster.

Tcs and vdc lights are always on.

So far I have:

Replaced the unified ac amp behind the head unit
checked and replaced/checked all the fuses

swapped out the ipdm (engine bay fuse box) swapped some ac relays on it
pulled my drivers side kick panel fuse box right out took it apart and cleaned and inspected it ,switched the two blue relays on the back, pinched the fuse connections tight so i know im getting good contact there
.
checked out the connections on the unified ac amp meter behind the stereo cleaned the contacts
dropped the steering column and checked the connections on the back of the cluster all seem good

I think i might have fried the board in the ac climate control panel ( the one on the dash with the three climate control ***** that pluggs into the unified ac amp

As I understand it the computer takes in the transmission speed and wheel speed and sends out a signal to the unified control meter which talks to the bcm and other sensors and then sends all the signals to the cluster.

any ideas?

Thanks

Yikes! Really sorry to hear this, it's possible that the gauge cluster and AC controls were damaged. You will need a dealer level scan tool to determine if there are communication issues with these components on the CAN bus. I would have a professional have a look before dropping serious cash on guesses.

Another good reason to use dielectric grease on engine bay wiring (plugs, relays, terminals, etc). Really helps prevent corrosion, especially if you live in a humid climate.

Oh duuuuuude I had the exact same problem when I first did my HR swap. Turns out I had the wrong HR ecu (from a g35). Bought a 07 350z ecu from the classifieds, wrote a new uprev map and everything worked the way it was supposed to. CAN systems had a few wires in different locations

The haltech is made for you exact year and model right?

Welcome to the forum, shame your first post is one of woe. To be honest, I agree with Icer, the quickest way to find out just what is going on without guessing and throwing cash around is to throw cash in the right direction so unless you know a recognised specialist auto electrician it may be of to Nissan for you. it seems that your fry up has maybe cooked something else that you're not aware of.

Thankyou for the replies. I am thinking its the output from the computer not going to the unified ac amp unit. Its just weird why those temp and rpm signal would just die out like that. Unless i fried something putting power to that part of the ipdm. As far as testing output signals to the cluster from the ecm or ipdm anyone know how to do that?

I will have to look into the ecm and make sure i got the same one. Venture. Did your rpm and temp not wotk with that ecu but the car still ran?

My haltech is specifically for my model yes.
