Default Something burning?

I have an 06 DE that when I punch it, thers like some burning smell or something I can smell when I have my windows down. Then it goes away. Any thoughts. Smells like sulfer a little

Welcome and there could be any number of reasons behind the odor you smell. This is not a usual complaint with the Z. Could be a blockage in one of the catalytic converters, or a piece of debris caught between the undercarriage and a hot engine component. Have you jacked up the car to have a good look? Are there any codes in memory?

Look for valve cover gasket leak onto exhaust manifold.

i guess actually opening the hood and looking around makes too much sense

Well I cant duplicate it while I'm parked. Its when I put it into overdrive

Havent checked any codes. Just bought it so. Only does it when I hit overdrive on 75. Or pick up real fast

Your Z's diagnostic system will hold some codes in memory, so there could be a clue there. Not sure what you mean by "hit overdrive on 75"? Do you mean the odor only becomes noticeable when you shift into sixth gear at 75 MPH?
