Need help with Clutch/Flywheel Combo.
Sadly, my clutch has started to slip for about a month now, where my RPM goes up when i accelerate but there is no power to the car while that RPM goes up so i usually have to rev it to a higher RPM before switching gears, took it to a guy to see it and he told me i need a new clutch. Now, the problem is i've read a couple of forum posts about which clutch would be best for a 2005 Nissan 350z with an aftermarket exhaust and K&N air intake + other power modifications that i will be doing in the future, and there are people saying JWT Clutch and South Bend Clutch, and i also want to change the flywheel. Now i am looking for this combo for daily street use and also a more moderate use of the car, as in sometimes i like to leave a little faster from where i'm standing. Can anyone help me pick which clutch and stage i should go with? I am looking to spend around $800 - $900. Thank you, i appreciate it.

Update: I am also looking at this specific clutch/flywheel combo, any thoughts on it?

Sorry to say, your "power adders" probably won't add enough torque to make a HD clutch necessary. Why not consider a Nissan Key Value pack which contains a new OEM clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing and other hardware in one discounted package? It'll save you some money and won't really affect overall performance.

If no FI and you want to hedge your bets, either the JWT combo or the Southbend are more than enough. Only if/when you plan to track/drift/AX "might" you need more.
And if anyone knows his clutches and what they're capable of handling, its dkmura, one of only a few handfuls of REAL racers on this forum. (No, I'm not one of them... I'm only in the "retired racers" category.) Hahahahahaha...
MicVelo, i really don't want OEM parts so i'm looking for aftermarket but i'm looking for those combos that give me faster revs at the same time, and i heard that the JWT Clutch/Flywheel make a lot of noise. I can say that i drive my 350z harder everyday than people that just use it for regular street use.

ANYtime you go from a dual mass OEM flywheel to a single mass, the incidence of chatter can go up. Having just installed an SMF and standard plate clutch in an '07, can also say that it's not a huge amount of such. But it varies by driver/car.
You can drive this everyday, will handle anything you can throw at it. If you are going to boost the car I would step up to our Stage 3 kit though.
