So this is my first actual post on here.... and i did a search.... so yeah.......

when letting OUT the clutch i hear a cla cla cla cla sound like somethings bounching around..... what is it? its almost a clicking....... only when the clutch is being let out...... its only audible when the windows are down.... but WHY is it doing this?

i only have 2k miles on my new 04 Z.... and its a performance... so i dont understand =(

 

other people, as well as myself are hearing the same thing.
From what I've read, Nisssan service has said it's normal.

 

I hear it for sure. Usually only when going into first. It is easiest to hear when you are at a drive through with the windows down. You can hear it echo off of the building. I have 6000 miles on my car and no problems with it though, and the dealer said it was normal.

yeah i have that too... and i was told it's normal... though i'm not sure

 

yea i got it and gear wine when down shifting into first...they tell me its normal and i work there....

 

I wouldn't downshift into 1st... 2nd gear has enough torque for rolling around.

 

Depends on what you are doing. Tight 180s in autocross sometimes need a good first downshift
