Default Catalytic converters

Looking to buy replacement catalytic converters or something close to stock. Right now I have CNT racing highflow cats & i'm tired of getting CEL. What replacement catalytic converters do you guys recommend? I don't wanna pay the cost for oem so whats the next best brand?

You should have no trouble finding used oem cats, lots of folks replace them with high flow - let your fingers do the walkin'

I personally have had good results with these so far. No CEL, no cracking at weld points(and I drive the hell outta' my car). Some people have said they've had them crack on them, but I haven't had any issues.. Something to look into. http://www.kinetixracing.com/kinetix...onverters.aspx

My old oem converters went bad on me along time ago. The oem converter on the d/s became plugged up. Just shake the cat & it sounds like you got rocks in it. The sound coming from this seemed like my motor was going to blow up at anytime. Motor is fine btw. I had Berk TP for a back up but didn't like the highway drone. When I was doing DC headers I went with CNT highflow cats. No matter what both gave me the CEL.

Now i'm going quiet again and just now purchased oe Evan Fischer catalytic converters for $490 D/S & P/S. www.discountcatalyticconverters.com/details/Nissan/350Z/Evan+Fischer/Catalytic+Converter/2006/SET-REPI960311.html?dccid=gglpla

Have you tried O2 bung hole extenders to stop that CEL?

I recently put on Berk high flow cats, and no check engine light yet. No drone, just a more aggressive sound when you hit the three thousand rev mark

Default That's some good news. I too am am contemplating cats.

Let me ask you. Are you running the rest of your exhaust stock as of now? And if not what else have you done? I don't want any Rice Sounding car. Not at 40 hrs old anyway. Thanks

My buddy just bought cats on close5 or what ever app that is.

Tons of them. If not I'm sure eBay has plenty.

I'm sure my dad would trade you for his cats off his G35

Catless or HFC's, cats hold heat in the heads causing detonation. Tune or try using something like BLOX O2 Diagnostic Plug. About $5 a piece, have them in my G35 with test pipes and have not thrown a code in the past 9 months.
